Robotic/Upright Mop for Hybrid Flooring/Tiles

Hello Fellow OzBargainers,

Looking for some advice from the hive mind — I’m in the market for a robotic vacuum that can handle hybrid floors, tiles, and a bit of carpet.

I've been eyeing the Eufy S1 Pro — it looks amazing and all the YouTube reviews are glowing. That said, it’s a bit on the pricey side. 😬 I’m on the fence about whether to pull the trigger now or wait and see if a new model is on the horizon.

I also considered the Dreame L10s Pro Heat, but for a bigger house, I worry the mop pads would need frequent cleaning — whereas the S1’s roller mop system seems to clean on the go, which is a big plus.

Also curious if anyone here has experience with cordless upright mops like the Roborock F25? Are they a good supplement to a robovac, or just overkill?

Would love to hear what setups have (or haven’t) worked for you. Appreciate any thoughts!

I have entirely tiled/floorboard house, so it made sense for me to get a cordless mop. Absolutely worth it, better clean and way easier than a standard mop, better than the usual robovac of just running a wet pad over the floor. I wasn't sure so I went cheap and bought a Tineco ifloor 5 for $300 but haven't seen a need to go further than that.

Good supplement because while it'll suck up other material like hair and such, it's a pain cleaning out the dirty water tank with that in there. So I prefer to vacuum then mop.

  • All the new robot vacuum/mop machines were announced at CES at the beginning of the year and are usually updated annually. So there won't be a new model lurking on the horizon at this stage.

Basically any of the upper range robot mops are capable of powered rotary scrubbing these days and do a pretty decent job. Since you can run them every day, there's no real opportunity for a large accumulation of filth to occur. Just like vacuuming, they're not a total substitute for manual operations but rather they extend the period between manual cleans to weeks/months depending on your preferred level of cleanliness.

Also, most of the mopping pads can be automatically cleaned by the docking station itself after each run so there's very little intervention required apart from emptying the containers occasionally.

Eufy, Dreame and Roborock are the front-runners in this market right now. Don't bother with Roomba (poor navigation) or Ecovacs (poor software).

    • Thanks
Haven't heard much positive after sales support for dreame. There is a bloke who post his experience on every dreame deal :)

      • I haven't needed to get after sales support at all for my now-ancient Roborock S5 - I want to replace it with a newer model but it just keeps on working…..
