Kogan Direct Import iPhones - Has Anyone Purchased?

Will Apple honour the warranty with these if something goes wrong? I'm not willing to go with Kogans warranty, as it'll probably stink and not be like Apples replacement.

I'm not talking about the marketplace refurb ones, these appear to be directly imported ones, I'm guesing from HK?

Apple will honour the one-year warranty no different to a visitor from abroad going to an Apple Store here for support with a hardware issue. My UK iPhone was repaired for a screen issue a few years ago and my UK AirPods Pro were replaced due to the sound issue program, both at Apple Store Sydney CBD.

Anecdotally, you are less likely to get a straight swap on the spot with a new unit though, and will have to send it off to be repaired taking a few days.

You will still be covered under ACL guarantee directly with Kogan, as the seller, but Apple do not have to entertain you at all.

I haven’t checked, but it’s highly unlikely you’re saving enough money to warrant taking the risk with Kogan and their awful support.

    • Yeah going with this. kogan just seems to burn and churn imo

  • Aren't these missing important bands required in Australia?

  • Hi Calmlemon, pleaae calm, think twice dont buy from kogan or you will get a lemon

  • I believe Apple CAN refer you to the country of origin for repairs, but rarely do

  • It wasn't an iPhone, but I bought a Kogan direct imported phone.

Never again. I learned my lesson. Only buy phones that the manufacturer makes for and sells in this country.

    • I bought a OnePlus phone through Kogan from a seller in Melbourne in 2023. No problem so far until now. I can use any telco sim cards, no problem too.
