You can flash-fry a buffalo in 40 seconds
40 seconds? But I want it now.
No bull!
Better heat control, easy cleanup, faster cooking times, crisper skin. They're awesome. I like the bigger single basket fryers so I can do small to medium roasts in it. There's usually a bunch on FB marketplace. I got my Philips XXL for $50.
Compared to an oven? Really fast to get to temperature and nice even cook. Doesn’t heat up the room in summer either, although we keep our outside on the deck. We find ours pretty easy to clean, but that varies model to model.
Disadvantage is space. Both in terms of room to cook
Larger meals, but also benchtop. We have a cheap Tefal branded one that we use way more often than the oven. We also use a $60 George Foreman more than the stovetop too fwiw, because it’s so quick. It’s also a great way to get toast for an entire family of 6 going at once rather than using a toaster that can do 4 slices. Also awesome way to reheat pizza without getting a soggy base like the microwave does.
Compared to my other Philips?
Isn't $287 from good guys the real deal then?
Price match isn't an allowable deal post, but is allowed as a comment
Didn't know that. Thanks!
But Amazon better customer service, worth paying extra
Not after the initial Amazon return window. I also prefer to keep the money in Australia.
Actually I think it depends on the product. I had one which was potentially past it's warranty period. Amazon still accepted it back!
I’ve returned faulty electronics after 9 months with Amazon. Just need to use the chat
Do people rate the steamer or is the dual basket for 197 the better deal ?
Wondering the same not sure I would use the steamer. They look the same apart from that?
Been waiting for one of these. Steaming in an airfryer is brilliant.
Anyone knows how choice rates this airfryer? Thank you!
81%
I have this model, I much prefer using this for airfrying/steaming as I don't need to turn on my stove to steam dumplings. From cold start the steam starts kicking in after 30 seconds and the steaming stops 30 seconds before timer ends so add one minute to whatever recipe you use. It can only steam in the bigger basket, and the steam assisted cleaning on that basket is pretty useful if you wipe the basket down immediately after. I don't use the airfry and steam together feature often, as they pulse between steaming and airfrying every now and then and the result is just so so. Otherwise, it has the quality of Philip's other airfryer, just with added steaming feature.
What so good abt these?
