Not really a bargain, last ad was 15% off & only received 7 votes so not sure why this is being posted for less.
My friend recently had a very bad experience with them. Charged around ~$80 for toll management fee. Toll management fee applies for every beep on the tag. :-(. Their toll cost was more than the rental cost.
That's pretty standard on all rentals. Normally you need to get a toll pass. Seems like your friend didn't do their due diligence.
Not really. Most the majors (all except Hertz group) use Linkt's system which charges $3.30 per calendar day + toll costs. East Coast car rentals also have their own version of this, but charge $1.10 per toll charge.
Hertz charges a $40 admin fee (or allow you to set up an alternative - add it to your account, LinktGo, day passes).
Can't seem to find anything on their website about toll charges, except that they are charged to the renter… Hmmm…
I have a booking with them in Brissy in July and this is what the confirmation email says:
Toll administration charge of $2.95 per toll is caluclated [sic] per pass and will be applied in addition to Toll utilisation amount.
I would be getting your friend to check their booking confirmation email.

That's not correct, I recently cancel the booking well before 2 days, but they deduct the card processing fees, not a big amount but still you won't get full amount you paid if you cancel
