Ahoy folks!

Hope everyone's enjoying the start of autumn and making the most of the good weather while it's still here.

Something that's sure to put a smile on our filter lovers is the first coffee that we've ever featured from the famed Volcan Azul farm in Costa Rica. This natural is fruit forward and sweet without being that super boozy confrontation that so many naturals can become.

Now for the espresso crew! We've also passed on the feedback about big funky espresso's to Atypical. The result is the following - a clean washed coffee from Sadayana Co-op. It's juicy with a hint of spice so should keep you pleased all month. I'm personally really keen to try this one with milk too as it ages a little longer.

Proud Mary blends are also making a comeback! No word yet on price increases, however I thought it best to be proactive and let people lock in these prices before anything needs to change.

        They asked for the best, not cheapest. Aldi is decent for the price, and the labeled roast dates are a big plus, but people seem blinded by the cheap price. The coffee isn’t that incredible. It’s downright average if you’re using the Single Origin for filter coffee.

      We used to give 3kg and 4kg for everything but very few people took up those options for non AXIL and Atypical blends.

    I'm a fan of Atypical's Candid blend and tried the Shantawene but found the lavender note far too funky in a milk coffee or even espresso. I like the idea of fruit and spice tho.
    Worth me trying the Sadayana for milk ya reckon, Tim?

      Yeah I’d give it a go.

      If the issue last time was overpowering florals, that sounds like an objection to the natural processing method.

      This coffee is washed so it won’t be as funky.

      Look, I'd still give the Sadayana Co-op a crack. While it won't offend milk drinkers, it's still got plenty of character to please those who give milk a pass.
