Not sure if these are long-running prices for the 2 listed books, stumbled across them trying to find deals for a $5 off $50 purchase promotion on Amazon.

Thanks!
Mysterious Affairs at Styles is public domain now, I believe.
Apparently quite a few of her books are in the public domain under US copyright law of 95 years from publication. Including The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, which everyone should go and read right now before someone spoils the ending for them.
Roger Ackroyd is possibly one of the best mystery novels ever. It’s such a great journey. (Avoiding anything that could be a spoiler…)
@Sven Viking Thankyou very much for the link! I downloaded The Murder of Roger Ackroyd👍 I haven't heard of it, but keen to give it a read now. That looks like a great website, I made sure to save it to my bookmarks. I didn't know so many classic books could be so easily downloaded, Thanks again for sharing🍻🍕
Excellent. I’m also a Wonderboy fan, incidentally (although more from In Monsterland onwards than the original).
Yeah, Project Gutenberg in particular has a massive collection of public domain books. There’s also a ton of public domain stuff (as well as copyrighted books that you can borrow like a library) on the Internet Archive.
@Sven Viking: That's good to know, thanks again, I'm sure I will find some other interesting books to read from there. I love websites like that one, very wholesome 👍
Thanks for the tip on Internet Archive, fortunately I have known of this one for a while and it's been excellent for certain things, especially ROM sets for MAME and different consoles, but also some books and magazines too. Really great website 🏆
Ah nice to meet another Wonderboy fan. I played Monster Land a few times and I have been meaning to get back to it one day and really make some progress into the levels. It looks like a good game and I know many people are big fans of it.
But the style of the original is my favourite and it's still keeps me coming back after many years as it always gives a challenge (still trying to 1cc it). Below is a link to a guide that has a lot of cool info on the game, thought you might enjoy checking it out:

@wonderboy4: Thanks. I did like original Wonderboy, just not as much. Have you seen the Adventure Island games which started as a Wonderboy port then split off, by the way?
Wonder Boy 3 etc. are also good.
@Sven Viking: @Sven Viking Yeah I get where you are coming from, I like Monster Land too, but the original has just always appealed to me more.
I have seen some videos of the Adventure Island games, they look good (except the main character sprite, he looks a bit wonky to me😂) and also seem to play a lot like the original Wonderboy, so I need to check them out 👍
I know about Wonderboy 3, I'm pretty sure I have the arcade version on Mame, but I didn't get around to playing it because I always go back to the original, and trying to beat it😅
There is a really cool looking Wonderboy game on Mega Drive/Genesis, that seems like a continuation of the Monster Land style of Wonderboy. So I thought I better mention it in case you would like to check it out, seeing as Monster Land is your favourite type of Wonderboy game. Its called Wonderboy in Monster World
Here is a short YouTube video of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VRNPt0UrqA&ab_channel=SNESd…
@wonderboy4: Thanks! I did know of it but never had access to it in the old days, and then never got around to it once I had access to it for emulators. Maybe I should try to do that soon.
Monster World IV Is also an impressive game that I never finished.
@Sven Viking: You really should, I bet you will have a lot of fun🥳
Thanks for reminding me about Monster World IV, I just watched this video to refresh my memory. It's such a beautiful game, I must try it out soon👍 The sprites and backgrounds are really special 🤩

The Author has been dead for 50 years. How does it make any sense that copyright still exists? Certainly not in the public interest.
I’m not against copyright in all forms, but yeah, it’s excessive.
Yes.
Remember copyright is not a natural right, it is a social contract. We grant someone copyright in order to incentivise production. But I have not seen Agatha writing much lately.
Maybe that’s just because we haven’t strengthened copyright law enough yet? Tom Clancy has been dead for years and it hasn’t stopped him from writing more books.
@bydl Thankyou 👍
