65c more than the Welcome deal posted recently.

16 good deal votes so obviously some people are looking for something like this. 120W output possible (Xiaomi only, PD will be 100W because it doesn't do 140W) but only 10k capacity.

one user commented on another deal that they were looking for something small with only 10k capacity but able to fast charge a laptop at 65W+. this will do that, it will probably run out quickly (because 10k and more heat from fast charging) but that's the point apparently you just want this 10k to go into the laptop as fast as possible on the go.

Copypasta:

  • No Standalone lithium batteries are sold with the product
  • Dual 165W charging enhances the experience by supporting two devices simultaneously, like laptops and smartphones, delivering 120W and 45W output rates for efficient power delivery.
  • The 90W fast charging can provide a 55% charge in just 15 minutes, capable of supporting about 50% of the Xiaomi MIX Fold 4's battery.
  • The device features a large 10,000mAh battery, supporting smartphones, tablets, laptops, Switch, and Bluetooth headphones, ensuring reliable power for various devices.
  • The device supports multiple charging protocols, intelligently managing power output for efficient charging. It connects to devices like smartphones and Bluetooth, automatically adjusting to various needs.
  • The device features a built-in USB-C cable for convenient charging, designed to meet everyday power needs without carrying extra cables. It includes a special storage solution for easy access.
  • Excellent Compatibility: Xiaomi/Redmi phones (up to 120W), iPhones/Samsung phones (26-30W), tablets, gaming handhelds (up to 63W), and ultraportable laptops (up to 55W).

  • and yeah it's 10k capacity.

I saw a similar CukTech power bank (No.10?) awhile ago and because it's so big with high output I thought it must be 10k 7.2V which would be 20k capacity in regular power bank spec at 3.7V. but no it's not 7.2V battery inside it's just regular 10k capacity. I was confused for a good few days. 🤔

    • Thanks. I am also confuse.

      • yeah if you look at dimensions and weight, it's the about the same as the 25k INIU Mini version I posted (actually ZMI 10k a little heavier).

but this ZMI Xiaomi is only 10k! it definitely makes you wonder why they only fit 10k in there. like 20k I might understand oh a little difference.

ZMI makes good power banks though so I assume it's got Samsung 21700 batteries inside and also handles heat very well even at 100W PD output.

    • why not get iniu 100w 25000mah or 140 watt 27000mah?

if you need to travel…10000mAh is low nowadays

      • it's not common with low capacity for high output but some people are looking for something like this (not me).

ZMI is a premium chinese power bank brand. as you might have read in other INIU posts people do not trust the quality of INIU, Anker as much. which is why the design is so different and it is very expensive.

    • four evebattery 18650 cells in series (14.8V 2500mAh), energy stays ~37Wh, so real capacity at 3.7V is ~10000mAh

      • +1

I was thinking 10Ah in batteries at 7.2V = 72Wh. and ZMI being a premium chinese brand just wanted to put that 10Ah printed on the battery.

but looks like I got the battery type wrong. I was going by how the ZMI No.20 uses Samsung 21700.

      • I personally would avoid any power bank that is using evebattery.

Purchased the Cuktech one with evebattery, and it won't last for more than 3 months for use around twice per month, and now it can drop from 100% to 50% in less than 10 minutes, and power down after reaching the 50% mark.

Previously Xiaomi/Cuktech is good, but not now.

Oh thank you for the deal post!

Sharing a recent review article for anyone who's interested Xiaomi PB1165MI Review: 165W Sleek Power Bank with 120W Fast Charging and Built-in Cable That Redefines Portable Power

The Xiaomi 165W Power Bank with built-in cable contains a 10000mAh battery with a total output power of 165W. It features a built-in USB-C cable and a USB-C port, supports 90W self-charging, and the USB-C port supports 45W input/output. The body has an LCD screen that displays information such as battery percentage.

In terms of charging compatibility, the built-in cable port of the Xiaomi 165W Power Bank supports 65W output and simultaneously supports Xiaomi's 120W proprietary protocol. When charging the Redmi K70 Ultimate Edition, it reaches up to approximately 91W, providing an excellent charging experience for Xiaomi series models. It also achieves relatively high power for phones, laptops, and gaming handhelds with good PD protocol compatibility, with mainstream models in the 15-35W range.

In the self-charging test, using a Cuktech 140W charger to charge the Xiaomi 165W Power Bank, the charging time was 43 minutes. In the output test phase, the measured conversion efficiency was all above 79%, with a maximum of 86.67%. In terms of output quality, under both no-load and load conditions, the ripple values did not exceed 23mVp-p. After 27 minutes of loading at the highest power level, the maximum body temperature was around 38.8°C, showing excellent performance.

Overall, the Xiaomi 165W Power Bank with built-in cable performed excellently in all tests. The built-in cable design reduces the hassle of carrying cables when traveling, and the built-in cable's support for PD65W and Xiaomi 120W proprietary protocols greatly enhances its practicality. It perfectly accommodates both phones and laptops, making it an excellent choice for users in the Xiaomi ecosystem.

    • okay thank you!

    • Complete review by the company selling them 🙄

      • Its a repost of third-party review disclaimer at the top

That thing is massive for only 10000mah

    Integrated cable is a fail.

    • +1

I like it as long as there’s also a port

      • Until it fails and you can't easily replace it.

  • It’s a good battery, bought it from taobao for 40 only

    • I tried TaoBao - put items in the cart worth nearly $200, but when I checked out, the shipping fee was ridiculously high that I immediately delete the app.

Can you please share your experience, or show me how to avoid (high) shiping fee?

      • dont use taobao shipping, use 3rd party shipping proxy,
usually can find one in wechat, but you have to buy many stuff and ship by sea for the delivery fee to make sense. usually it comes out about 70% of the price if the item was bought locally.

        • Asked 2-3 agents before. They all wanted to charge over $20/kg for air delivery and it was 3 years ago. You got the price ship delivery?

    • bought it from taobao

Taobao, AliExpress, Temu, ebay etc…what protection do you have when sellers send FAKE-items…likely that people are choosing items with lower-prices?

      Doesn't Amazon-AU give you this protection…NOT-third-party sellers?

  • I have a cheap 10k Xiaomi power bank that’s lasted me over 10 years now.
Would buy again if I didn’t have a 10k, 20k and 30k which is already overkill.

    • +1

pretty sure the output power is the selling point here.

  • such a strange device. quick: give my laptop enough juice to get to a power point!

    • +1

      I agree.

but a random user commented on another power bank deal with the requirements "65W+ output" and "only 10000mAh". specifically something about their laptop being so thin and light, when travelling they wanted the smallest possible that could charge it at full speed.

now I think about it maybe because their laptop is so thin, the battery inside isn't that big either. so maybe they can get more than 1 charge out of 10k, maybe 1.5 charges.

      • so maybe they can get more than 1 charge out of 10k, maybe 1.5 charges

        Real-world experience: ~ 40% efficiency LOST, or ~ 60% efficiency rate.

This was written for mobile-phone, & likely applicable to li-ion battery in laptop as well.
'That’s an average efficiency rate of around 60 percent.' -> https://www.engadget.com/computing/accessories/best-power-ba…

        • yes just my opinion without knowing how big the laptop battery is.

    • I just noticed this spec for the Xiaomi after reading a comment on the other deal, but the Xiaomi charges super quick at 90W and that becomes even less time charging because it only has to charge 10k (37Wh).
but that means it can fully charge the 10k in around 30 mins. which again probably very handy for people constantly on the go looking for something like this such as the random user.

  • Better deal on Ali from a quick Google

  • Could this power a Starlink mini for a few hours?

    • +1

from watching a few van life youtube videos they all said Starlink consumes a lot of power compared to 5G.

so I looked it up, starlink requires 100W PD but actually consumes about 20~40W. if you plug it into a 37Wh powerbank such as this deal you will get less than 1 hour of use (0.925 hours) at 40W, less than 2 hours at 20W.
