Decent Carpet Steamer

my dog crapped all over the carpet this morning and it was the horrid diarrhea kind (he's gone to the vet) . it's very difficult to clean watery stools off carpet without leaving stains, so i'm looking into getting a decent carpet steamer that's under 200 bucks. There are a lot of steamers that are cheap, but i question their effectiveness, as many of them have crap reviews. any recommendations on which to get? does it have good suction? I keep hearing ppl mention the bissell spot bot cleaner- where's the cheapest place to get it? can't see it on bissell au site so maybe it's not avail here?
Sry for mistakes, typed on mobile.

They aren't really "steam" cleaners. They inject hot water and special detergents deep into the pile which dissolves dirt, and sucks the excess moisture out of the pile immediately after. I used to hire the large Britex machines from Coles etc. but found it was easier to buy my own smaller one, and they essentially do the same thing. I have a Quickwash and a Little Green for the stairs/lounge fabric. I think they do a pretty good job of cleaning the dirt out of carpet and rejuvenating them. Not sure how they would cope with dog doo-doo though. I'm sure it will wash it out eventually, I have a cat and it washes the throw-up from the pile quite nicely, as well as the cat fur. Bissell make a machine specifically for pets, but I honestly don't think it does much more than this cheaper one. As for price, I think the RRP is just over $200 but I see them on sale all the time, quite heavily discounted sometimes. I can't help with a current deal, but I have seen them at Harvey Norman, Godfreys, and Masters Hardware for somewhere to start looking. If nothing else, the machine will keep your carpet looking good for the rest of the time. Good luck.

Looks like an enhanced Little Green that has a rotating scrubber brush add-on. I'm sure if you've already "loosened" the stain, a standard machine will extract the stain. I don't think it is available here.

    • I see, deep cleaners are probably what i should be looking at. the overseas ones are so cheap…
e.g PowerWash PowerBrush Select on the bissell UK site is £116.99 (~$180 aud), on the aus site it's $579! Might be cheaper to order from UK even with postage included, the voltage is the same as Australia…

      • Do u have the UK bissell link?

        • couldn't find any that would ship overseas. Got the petwash powerbrush from binglee instead.
