J seats now replaced Burgundy Chardonnay and Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with basement bargain white.

Next is the Taittinger Brut for Adelaide Sparkling?

    • Sacrilege if they were to. Only champagne on aeroplanes! :-)

      Here's the complete inflight list:
      Laurent Perrier Brut NV
La Perriere Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2023
Pertaringa ‘Lakeside’ McLaren Vale Chardonnay 2023
Chateau Noaillac Cru Bourgeois Superiere Medoc, Bordeaux 2019
Grant Burge Filsell Barossa Valley Shiraz 2021
Dow’s Late Bottled Vintage Port 2018

      • Not 2 months back. Was a Tiraki Sauvignon Blanc. Gone are the days of a Lynch Bages.

But then they are down to a $10 bottle. Probably water only in a few years time. Why bother when they will serve subpar stuff.

        • Interesting. That list was from a photo a customer sent to me on 11/3. They do rotate.
It is interesting to see the pricing that various carriers offer up in tenders. Found a slightly oxidised 3/4 bottle of Pichon-Longueville in a lounge in Dubai a few years back - despite being 0645am, still enjoyed it - but you are right the days of first growth Bordeuax's are going/gone unles you're in F. :-)

  • Purchased, thanks Richard! Is it difficult to do a deal with an airline?

    • Hi @StevePER We work with an agency overseas whose sole business is supplying airlines and cruise ship companies. It is globally competitive, so statistically, in any airline tender situation, you have a 2% chance of success.
We've had a good run of late with Cathay Pacific, Qantas and Singapore Airlines all pouring wines from each of the core ranges. Richard

  • Bought. Cheers Richard

    • @Madbro Cheers and enjoy. Richard :-)
