97 Points - James Halliday Wine Companion

Sourced from adjacent rows of 40yo vines using archetypal cabernet vinification.

Hand-pruned to control the yield to 5t/ha; cold maceration and pressed directly to oak for 18 months in French hogsheads.

This is a seriously good cabernet that has taken full advantage of an excellent vintage courtesy of skilled vinification by winemaker Ben Wurst.

Its length is exceptional, as is its structure and slinky tannins, part fruit, part oak.

I just bought a 6 pack. I'm guessing it will be nice to drink immediately for the price @$24 a bottle it should be enjoyable. I'm a newbie to buying wine on Ozbargin so I read all comments from those that know what a bargin looks like. I looked at Halliday website to see how big it has become and think that they must be doings something right. I have purchased a few wine deals before and have found Skye Cellars to be honest and prompt at all times with my orders.
