Would love to erase my memory of playing the trilogy just to play it again.

Same here. Playing it for the first time and on ME3 already.

I played through the trilogy when I was waiting on my redundancy money from work. Possibly some of the best gaming I've had in all my years. Genuinely felt lost once I finished three, almost like a state of mourning.

Would love to erase my memory of the third game and its ending.

Why? ME1 is incredibly outdated, even this edition.
I will play it again but i know it. If i had to play it for first time in 2025, id probably quit after 20 mins

      • That's part of the charm for me. I'm playing through the first game for the first time this year, and although it's dated it does hold up extremely well - I still can't believe it's almost 20 years old at this point.

  • +2

just an FYI, it will install all three games at once (~100GB). It seems you can then manually delete the game files for any of the three you wish to "uninstall".

if anyone has a steamdeck and is looking for something to buy, and somehow missed these games, it doesn't get much better than this.

    • Runs well?

      • It’s got gold stays on ProtonDB. Some people report issues with the EA launcher. On other games the EA launcher gives me trouble, but doesn’t fully stop me from playing

$8.99 for this amount of entertainment hours is an absolute steal.

I’m Commander Shephard and this is my favourite deal on the Citadel.

I own this on Steam but can't play it because the EA lancher won't run on my PC. Back when the launcher used to run, I couldn't play the game because it kept telling me I needed to install GamePass to play the game.

Just be aware that EA pretty much won't respont to tech support requests for their crappy DRM, and all you usually get is an error number that is basically random so you can't even search forum posts for help.

I'd strongly suggest not buying this though any service that is going to require you to interact with the EA lanucher.

  • I loved this game

I'd buy if it wasn't mandatory to install that F-ing EA Application (Origin) just to install and launch the game. Until someone finds a way to bypass that so I can just download > install and launch it from Steam without that BS software I ain't buying it.

Sick of having to have 3rd party crap installed.

I even missed out on purchasing this game for less than $5 on Black Friday last year because of EA's stupid BS.

  • this is my favorite store in the citadel

  • It's legend game and fun forever!

This upvote was for Thane, you SoaB

  • it is a 'great' triology but i couldnt go back to the 1st game even with the updates it is incredibly dated - ill say this i think ME1 had the best story as you legit 'cant save everyone'

i think ME2 is probably the strongest of the triology for most people and it 'was' orginally meant to have hard choices in which you had to let some 'party members die' but they updated the game so you essenitally could make everyone happy enough to keep alive.

ME3 at the time gets shit for the ending but if you complete the mission and play it with 'that' ending to me it is the best of the 3 games but if you pick the other two endings it is terrible the refusal ending isnt bad but doesnt quite make sense….

The updated DLC is worth playing if you played the game when it came out you might of missed the Omega DLC, Apartment DLC and a few other DLC that have well contained stories that give you another interesting adventure with Shepard and his crew - ill note the DLC doesnt 'always' make sense as you got the fate of the Universe and Earth being destroyed your not stopping for drinks and a party and a Quicky with Ashley but it is fun content none the less

id probably say the writing for Shepard [both male and female] is some of Bioware best work - it is on par with games like KOTOR and Dragon Ago Origins

i"m the opposite. ME1 was the best all round game for me. ME2 leaned a bit too far into the shooter territory for me (which is fair, a product of its time). I missed driving that damn Mako and exploring planets.

  • Have not played this, but have Mass Effect: Andromeda. Do these ever go on sale for xbox?

  • Easily the most soul fulfilling game I’ve ever played.

  • Note that this was free at one stage because I have it on my EA account.
