PC Builder recommendation.Sydney: Northern Beaches, Brookvale, Chatswood, Neutral Bay, North Sydney, etc

I have seen the PC deals posted by Mr PC geek and Vision tech recently.

I am wondering if I can get something similar from a supplier closer to me.

Any recommendations?

  • There is an MSY branch in Ultimo.

  • Are you sure you cant do it yourself?? It really is quite easy. Otherwise I would also reccomend MSY.

    • I'd rather get it built.

Thanks scrimshaw and nubzy for the MSY suggestion. I looked at their website and it looks like they do this sort of thing.

  • Or you could use someone like myself who works in IT and has been building computers in and out of work for the last 15years.
Benefit of that is they don't usually charge as much to 'build' the computer like the shops do - and you still get the same warranty as all the parts are bought from shops like MSY etc.

What I normally say to people that ask me to build them a computer is tell me your budget and I'll build the best computer I can for that price :)
Let me know if you're interested

    • If you build a computer for someone, they will expect you to fix it. Conversely, if you offer to build a computer, you also need to be clear whether you offer after-sales support (i.e. do you fix the computer if the desktop stops working, or is the buyer expected to be able to RMA parts by himself?)

  • Well in regards to RMA, I bought the equipment and I have all the receipts thus I handle warranty repairs.
If a part is outside of warranty, or a non-repair fix (e.g computer running very slowly, infected with viruses etc) then I normally charge $20/hr - which if you compare that with say taking it to MSY for fixing you'll find their prices range anywhere from $50/hr and up. I've seen it before, people have been charged a fortune for a simple fix
