  Shadow of Mordor GOTY (Aug 2024, Aug 2022) and Shadow of War (Sep 2022) have been Prime/GOG freebies in the past.

  If you already own one of the games on Steam, check the Steam bundle discount as it may be cheaper than Green Man Gaming.

  Been replaying SoM recently.

  Such a great game, the mix is storytelling, combat, exploration and controlled environments is great. It feels so cinematic when you get a good nemesis event and finally beat them.

  Also they did absolute justice to Gollum unlike basically every other recent lotr game

    I finished it last year. Shadow of Mordor kinda feels outdated though, doesn't it? Also its kind of sad how except for Gollum, none of the Shadow of Mordor characters are referenced or shown in Shadow of War & both games just feel so lonely. I liked playing them though.

      Graphically I have no complaints at all.

      The leveling and upgrade system is a bit sawtooth and I didn't like that some upgrades were kinda useless while others are basically required for gameplay completely (shadow strike for example).

      Haven't played SoW but that's a bit sad if they are linked properly. I do remember there being a whole heap of problems with the IP due to WB getting bought

  Last time I got the bundle then I realised the bundle is the vanilla version of each instead of the Goty/definitive.

  Don't do the same mistake, buy them individually

    The bundle on Steam lists everything, the GOTY upgrade and DE expansion DLC is included.

  Thanks played a few hours of the first one years ago and really liked it, keen to give it another go

  Oops checked and I have shadow of Mordor on gog (I assume from Amazon), but only 2 bucks more to get steam collection. After all, why not.
