Essentially 5% back in points, stack with 5% price beat and 10% gift cards and you’re laughing. Effectively 20% off a (presumably discounted) competitors price after discounts and points.

    • +5

You'd look so OzBargain using stacks of gift cards after requesting a price beat, then ALSO scanning your OnePass linked Flybuys card for 10x points lol

"Yes, hello, I'm here for the brand-new $380 iPad. Oh. $489 you say?"

        chuckles

"You must be new here. Well, let me show you just how wrong you are…"

waits 10 mins for price beat verification, 20 mins for stock retrieval, then pays with 19 $20 gift cards

"Let this be a lesson! Never second-guess…"

        flashes empty wallet

        "the OZ BARGAINER!"

exits in a flurry of expired 4c off fuel vouchers

        • waits 18 years at self service for the 20x points on gift cards gift cards to activate

          This is GOLD !

    • Quick question, where did you get 10% discounted gift cards? Was it during a past promo?

  • +1

Is there a limit on the number of gift cards that can be used in-store for a purchase?

    • +2

I am not aware of anyone running into a redemption limit enforced by the checkouts:

      • For Ultimate/Celebration gift cards, the OzBargain record is 44.
      • I am not aware of a specific OzBargain record for gift cards issued by Coles Group (i.e. Officeworks, Coles Group & Myer), but I would assume 44 would also be achievable.

However, split payments are at the discretion of the staff member operating the checkout. In my experience, staff are nearly always happy to do split payments, but there was one occasion where the staff member flat-out refused my split payments request and gave no reason. (I have no idea whether they did not know how to do it, or whether they were having a bad day…)

Btw, if you trying to purchase a gift card and are wanting to use an Ultimate/Celebration gift card as a payment method, the redemption limit should be zero, because Officeworks checkouts should be set up to automatically block this. I assume the same is true if you are wanting to use a gift card issued by Coles Group as a payment method in the same situation.

      • +3

Damn it. I used 35 the other day. Only got 5X points too. If id known there was a record I would’ve grabbed $20 cards. It would have been an honour.

  • So you can’t buy gift cards and get the 10x points but can you use gift cards to pay for the item and still gain the 10x points?

  • How does this go with OnePass' 365 day return no questions asked policy?

… buy $xxx's from office works - don't open anything / keep receipt. Wait till your points arrive .. return the item, get your refund.

    • +2

Can’t speak for OnePass bonus points but returns at Coles group shops deduct the points from your account too

      • Yep, returns at Officeworks will deduct points from your account. It’s possible to go negative with Flybuys points if you redeem points and then return a purchase. Guess you could close your account at that point or just abandon the account.

Returning tech products at Officeworks isn’t covered by the 365 day policy. It’s not obvious from OnePass’ website but they have a disclaimer saying individual brands may have exclusions. The staff member or manager at Officeworks may take pity on you and allow the return anyway - they have for me. Never hurts to ask.

too bad they did not sell huawei GT5:(

  • Do you know if this is only applied to the actual paying members? I got a free trial but can’t see this in my onepass dashboard :(

Got the 5x points but not the extra 5x yet

    • Same?

  • Purchased an iPhone 2 days ago from Officeworks, used my Flybuys linked OnePass account for free delivery, however, only received 1x Flybuys points.
My order was placed over the phone for a pricebeat purchase, and OW rep confirmed that I will get 10x points but only received 1x. Of course will speak to them on Monday, but did anyone face this before?

    • had same for purchasing iPad with pricebeat over phone, only 1x points. Let us know how you go. I wonder if they would be added later as something I purchased in store at same time I collected I got my 5x points for (but not ten). I think you only get the 5x (or in this case ten times) if you do click and collect, you don't get the bonus points usually with the free delivery at any of the Onepass places. Perhaps phone order doesn't count as click and collect.

      • +2

The rep over the phone clearly told me that I will receive 10x points. Will wait for another day before calling them to confirm.

        • Any luck? I had the same issue with a phone order for the ipad

          • @geshc: Same. Any luck?

            • @jaypeee: They sent an email saying they will look into it.
I'm not too gutted since I got the gift cards for 15% off and price matched. Total out of pocket is $379 for me!

  • Is this targeted?

  • +2

Called up OnePass about the 10x points with my price match click and collect over the phone (for the recent iPhone deals). Checked my flybuys points balance and I only have 1x points atm.

They confirmed that it’ll be credited within 4 weeks after the promo ends, so latest by 18 June.

    • +5

I also contacted them yesterday via chat. They asked me to email them a copy of the OW receipt and a screenshot of the 10x promotion offer to [email protected].
I suggest you do the same just to document it.

  • +3

The email I received does actually say you only get 1x to start and the 10x are allocated 4 weeks later. Doesn't explain why something I purchased in store I received the usual 5x points for though.

"Standard points of 1 point per $1 spent will be allocated to your Flybuys account within 48 hours. Bonus points will be allocated within 4 weeks from end of Offer Period, or if your purchase was a Click and collect order, within 4 weeks from collection of click and collect order"

  • Has anyone received their extra 5x points yet?
Purchased around $4k of goods during this window - on 8 May (over 4 weeks ago now)
Received the 1x points (normal Flybuys) + 4x points (One Pass bonus), totalling 5x, missing the extra 5x from this offer.
Maybe they mean 30 days from when the offer expired? Being 21 June?

Looking at the T&Cs in the email it states:
*T&Cs, exclusions apply. Excludes gift cards. Offer available in-store or online only at Officeworks from 5 May 2025 to 11:59pm AEST on 21 May 2025 (Offer Period). To qualify for 10x points at Officeworks (Bonus Points Offer) you must be an active OnePass member with an active Flybuys membership and linked to a valid OnePass account, shop at Officeworks during the Offer Period and present your Flybuys in-store or enter your Flybuys number on the Officeworks website at the time of purchase. If offer criteria is met, members can redeem this offer as many times as they wish during the Offer Period. Standard points of 1 point per $1 spent will be allocated to your Flybuys account within 48 hours. Bonus points will be allocated within 4 weeks from end of Offer Period, or if your purchase was a Click and collect order, within 4 weeks from collection of click and collect order. 10x points is equal to 1 standard point plus 9 bonus points per $1 spent. Flybuys points are collected on transaction balance after savings and discounts. Standard Offer T&Cs can be found below. The Bonus Points Offer is instead of, not in addition to, the Standard Offer. You have been specifically selected for this offer and it is not transferable. Flybuys points are not available for Officeworks Account Holders with an Australian Business Number (ABN) and any transactions associated with an ABN, including 30 Day Account Business Account holders and account managed businesses. Flybuys' privacy policy applies. Standard Flybuys terms and conditions apply and are available at flybuys.com.au.

    • “Bonus points will be allocated within 4 weeks from end of Offer Period, or if your purchase was a Click and collect order, within 4 weeks from collection of click and collect order.”

      • Oooooo I must have missed the 'end of Offer Period' wording.. so we are aiming for around the 21 June I suppose.
        Okidokes!

    • Has anyone who collected a click and collect order before 14 May (4 weeks ago), who should have received their bonus points according to the terms, received them yet?

Or are we all stuck waiting until 4 weeks after the end of the offer period to see if they eventually credit?

      • “Bonus points will be allocated within 4 weeks from end of Offer Period, or if your purchase was a Click and collect order, within 4 weeks from collection of click and collect order.”

        • +1

Not sure why you are repeating yourself.. the above comment suggests it was a click and collect order which should have landed the additional points 4 WEEKS FROM COLLECTION.

          • +1

@ezza: Thanks ezza, that was the point I wanted to make.

            The terms say that:
            - If it was a click and collect order, the bonus points will be allocated within 4 weeks of collection of the order
            - Otherwise, they will be allocated within 4 weeks of the end of the Offer Period.

Given the Offer Period started on 5 May, there are people who should have started receiving the full 10x points allocation for click and collect orders from 2 June onwards (depending on when they collected their order).

I was wondering if anyone who is in that category has actually received them, or if Flybuys are ignoring their own terms and everyone is still waiting at this point?

            • @Ozbargainer85: No worries bud, seems like ozbmm has an issue with their keyboard copy/pasting the same crap.

          • @ezza: I’d think/guess whichever is later because some customers may collect after the offer ends so they’d want to make sure the order is collected and not cancelled. Anyway, I’ll just wait patiently for another couple of weeks.

            • @ozbmm: That might be the approach they're taking, but it's definitely not what the terms actually say.

Either way, it's frustrating that this seems to be the way with every Flybuys promotion. They always give themselves ridiculously long periods to credit bonuses and even then they frequently seem to take even longer.

Woolworths Rewards seems to be able to credit bonuses usually immediately, or 1-2 days later, which avoids the need to set reminders and chase things up months later.

              • @Ozbargainer85: This is the response I received. Seems Bonus points are only applicable for in store and click and collect purchases and not on order that include delivery. Although OW website clearly mentions online purchases are at least eligible for 5x bonus points, but it also mentions click and collect orders.

                Hi XXX,
                Thanks for getting in touch.
We're sorry to hear about your missing points.

Our support team has advised that as per the Terms and Conditions, the Onepass x Flybuys points offer is only available when making purchases in-store at Kmart, Target, Bunnings Warehouse and Officeworks.
We have noticed that the transaction was made via Officeworks Online and opted for a delivery which is not eligible for Onepass bonus points.
If you have any further queries, please let us know and we will be happy to assist.
                Kindly regards,

  • Bought in store 7 weeks ago. Still only the 5x points, not 10x.
