Not sure on the quality, but a flash deal at this price, I am willing to take a punt. It has HDMI 2.1 and is dirt cheap compared to everything else I found - though it is a flash sale so it won't last.

EDIT: It went from 2% claimed to 47% claimed in minutes - get on board quick if interested.

EDIT: Sold out in less than 30 minutes. I must have been at the right place at the right time.

  • thats very long

      thats what she said

    • Why? This is why this is fiber optic, it compensates for the losses. Same reason as CAT but thinner.

      • Because CAT cable is generally a little more flexible and easier to run over longer distances, if you need a 15M HDMI, you are obviously trying to run it around/over/through something.

    • except OP's deal was less than half the price of what you showed…and is fiber optic

      • My reference was purely an example, there are cheaper solutions available.

      • It's also only 1080p, requires power, and needs 2 HDMI cables as well as LAN cables.

        • Again, purely an example.

@geekcohen: An example which shows its not a comparison.

@geekcohen: we have explained why OP's solution differs to your example. If you want a comparison to something else, then please share another example.

    • I don't think you've really compared the two products.

      • Ethernet over power is a negotiated signal. This means it has to ask to connect, then connect. Definitely more things go wrong with these.
      • Your product only does 1080/60hz.
      • Your box requires external power.

This Fiber Optic cable can do 8k/60hz and has a very simple chip built into the connector to convert the signal back and forth so it should be completely seamless and much more reliable (in theory)

  • just got mine, can confirm it works at 4k@60hz. Didn't test higher as i didn't need to.
