FlexiSpot E7 Pro Standing Desk: Frame Only from $459.99, Desk from $509.99 Delivered @ FlexiSpot

120

First post. Needed a motorised standing desk for the new place and have been keeping an eye on Flexispot.

Price is for the frame only, but the usual desktop add-ons are there. +$50 for 120x60cm chipboard, or +$100 for 120x60cm bamboo. Larger sizes available and price goes up from there.

Not an ATL but seems like a decent price if you need one ASAP.

  • how do you add the table tops to the E7 Pro? I only get the option to add the frame by itself to the cart. The regular E7 has an option for the chipboard and bamboo.

    • At the Desktop Material: section

      select Chipboard or Bamboo
This opened up material and size options for me1

Go in via the E7 instead then change the frame to E7 Pro.

      • ahh yep this worked

      • if you go in via E7 and select E7 Pro, do you still get the premium keypad and cable management addons included in the price?

        • +1

Yeah you should, pretty sure I also bought the pro through the E7 link and got the cable management box and keypad.. this is a standard inclusion for the E7 pro.

  • Grabbed an omnidesk classic for $350 on marketplace! Might pay to check in your area, can get a steal sometimes.

Have the pro with a Bunnings Acacia timber benchtop on top (2400 x 900) - solid desk! no struggles

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/specrite-2400-x-900-x-33mm-brown…

    • Oh that's awesome, do you have to do much to the benchtop to mount it to the frame?

      • +6

        Not at all!

Just have a drill handy. All the screws are included with the Flexispot frame.

Put the benchtop on the floor (the side you want on top should be facing down touching the floor), frame upside down (make sure you centre it best as possible) and screw it in. No need to pre-drill holes or anything, screws can go straight in.

Just check the benchtops you buy from bunnings before purchasing, some have weird marks on them.

You'll need 2 people to flip it over. I recommend holding the benchtop to flip it, don't want to pull the frame out by any chance… Give it a wipe once its been flipped (top and bottom of table) with some anti-bac wipes to get rid of the dust/excess oils etc on the benchtop.

I do however recommend getting heavy duty castor wheels from amazon or somewhere else and fixing those to the frame during installation. Makes moving the table much easier… otherwise frame and benchtop alone are close to 75-80kg.

This is the exact set I bought: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0DCBQC1SL

These go in perfectly to the Flexispot E7 pro frame and can handle around 280kg total weight. Each wheel also has breaks.

Lifting it by holding the tabletop once it's been flipped over could loosen the screws (maybe) if you do it too much… didn't want to risk it.

Mine's on carpet and sometimes needs to be moved, wheels are a life safer. Super easy to move on your own.

    • any instability with that much overhang?

      • None. Not that much overhang. Quite a solid desk/frame combo.

          Thanks, bought one.

          • @ryanwe: Most welcome! Enjoy it 😊

I am using the E7 with one of these table tops (recommended by someone else on Ozb):

Very happy with the pair so far and feels very premium

    • Did you have any issues screwing the table top onto the frame?

      • Nope no issues, straight into the wood. Do you have a particular concern on it?

        • Did you need to pre-drill the holes before screwing into the wood? a bit concerned with it splitting.
