Game Pass Ultimate via VPN - it's getting harder but still doable

Hi, I'm sure many of you have been reading that the old way of buying an Indian Game Pass Core code off eneba or g2a and claiming it via a VPN has been getting harder and harder.

I decided to try today only to find that when entering the game pass code on the Microsoft website a "wrong region" code would come up and it wouldn't accept it.

This is how I got around it, and it's annoying.

  1. I bought 2x 12 month Indian core passes via g2a: $41 each., so $82 total.

  2. I bought a 1 month Indian Game Pass Ultimate pass off g2a.

  3. I set my VPN to India and created a new Microsoft account with the region set to India.

  4. I claimed the core passes, and then upgraded the subscription to ultimate all whilst still using the VPN.

  5. I turned the VPN off, and logged into the xbox with it.

  6. If you ensure the account lists the console as "home", all accounts on the xbox can use game ass ultimate.

I haven't tried using it on PC yet.

Overall I've for 13 months of game pass for around $102.

Much cheaper, but also much more annoying.

      Haha, that's not the ozbargain spirit! But I agree, totally not worth it.

      I'm just happy I didn't completely waste my money to be honest.

        That's US dollars, Australian would make it around $125.

      That's an "account", not a "key". You are buying an existing account.

      Are these accounts reliable? Do they get banned or otherwise stopped before the 13 months is through?

    Reports of Microsoft banning accounts recently for doing this so I guess far safer to use a new account and not your actual Microsoft account.
