[iOS] RuneScape 12 Months Membership TRY₺1569.99 (~A$64.00) @ Apple Türkiye via Turgame Gift Card

151

Another iOS Turkish deal…

Membership must be inactive / expired FIRST

Follow the onscreen steps. In the mobile number section use your Australian mobile number (Very important to use a valid number or risk losing your ID). Choose country as Turkey. Then follow through the rest to create your ID. Login into Apple ID on a browser. Go to this(appleid.apple.com) link to enter a Turkish address to your Turkish Apple ID, select payment method as none and save.

  • Go to Settings on your iPhone/iPad > Your Name > Media and Purchases > Log out from your current ID and login with your Turkish Apple ID
  • Buy TL iTunes gift cards from TurGame(turgame.com) > Choose currency as TL/TRY and pay with international transaction fee free card.
  • Redeem iTunes gift cards(apple.co) by going to App Store > Account (located at right top corner) > Redeem gift cards or code
  • Download RuneScape and login
  • On the lobby screen select to subscribe (top right corner, requires inactive membership)
  • Select the 12 month option (best value)

$64.00 is estimate due to Turgame fees, assumes an international fee free card. Direct conversion is $63.07 though Turgame has minor fees for card payments.

p.s bond and key prices suck in TRY, only membership is a bargain.

From memory RRP in AUD is around $144.99 now

This is TurkBargain now, didn’t you hear?

No but legit. IOS Turkish method seems to be the OG region hack right now.

I was more confused by a $64 annual subscription to a mobile runescape app.

        • its normally way more

        • Can’t you also use the sub on desktop?

    🦀 🦀🦀

  • do you need to cancel current membership? I'm on a grandfathered price and don't want to lose it

    • Current plan must be completely expired or it just says you’re already subscribed

    • Looked up terms, if you do let it expire you have 2 weeks to renew before you lose grandfathered pricing.

I'm unsure if grandfathered pricing applies to app store though; it'll likely still be ~$64 (but that's still cheaper). If it increases, nothing stops you from switching back to the grandfathered pricing as far as I can see.

    • Can't edit, though found the below on this page: https://apps.apple.com/tr/app/runescape/id1332022656

      1 Month Membership ₺184,99
      1 Month Membership ₺219,00
      1 Month Membership + Trial ₺184,99

Implies there is possibly grandfathered pricing available if you're still on it, though I'm unsure if that applies to new iOS subscribers or simply those still on iOS subscriptions from prior to price changes.

  • What do people pay here

  • +8

Just a word of caution, last time I bought an iTunes gift card from turgame, they didn't release the gift card.

They asked for proof of Turkish ID. They didn't refund the money and took me over 6 months to get the money back through a bank dispute, (which they disputed).

It must be a recent policy, but there are many reviews online with similar experience…

Well, that sucks. Thanks for letting us know.

    • They ask for proof of ID sometimes, not Turkish ID.

They accepted my Australian ID. ID was automatically accepted without issue via the third party verification provider (auto facial detection against ID)

      • +6

They asked for my ID (passport), A selfie and Proof of Geographical Location.

This in itself should be a red flag to anyone considering purchasing…

There are multiple reviews online stating this including other OzBargainers

          Proof of Geographical Location.

This is an automatic via browser geolocation, it worked fine on my laptop with no VPN (ie detected via IP). You do not need to be in Turkey. It automatically approved me in Australia.

This in itself should be a red flag to anyone considering purchasing…

It's common practice for high risk purchases, especially when there's absolutely no way they can recover product(s) provided (as they're gift cards); it's not like they can simply disable your access if you charge back and/or used a stolen card. Some companies charge higher fees to cover the costs of potential chargebacks / illegitimate purchases, others use third party ID verification for flagged purchases. Typical fees elsewhere are >10% due to this, while Turgame's closely matches (/is identical to) typical payment service fees.

There are multiple reviews online stating this including other OzBargainers

The review you linked simply states they've been asked to provide ID. No mention of needing to be in Turkey. As per my experience, being in Australia didn't cause any issues.

          Regarding data privacy:

          https://support.trustswiftly.com/how-to-view-verification-st…
TrustSwiftly does NOT allow partners to view uploaded images; Turgame can not see your uploaded ID, selfy, or document(s). They do receive any geolocation data your browser provides. I used my laptop so this is only a generic city name. I would avoid using a phone browser which may provide an actual GPS location just to be safe.

          tl;dr:

          I completed the verification successfully.

          • Don't need to be in Turkey; I used my laptop browser with my home connection (Australian IP).
          • It appears likely they receive geolocation data
          • They do NOT receive copies of your ID, selfy, or documents.
          • Trustswifty appears reputable, so it's down to if you trust Turgame with simply your geolocation.
      • +2

Giving your ID to a company like this is nuts.

Buying Indian iTunes credit from Amazon India is much safer and simpler.

        • It's via a third party (TrustSwiftly), according to their website partners can not access any uploaded ID, selfies or document(s); only a yes/no as to if you pass verification of said uploads.

They CAN view geolocation data gathered by TrustSwiftly. With this in mind I would use a PC to avoid providing GPS geolocation and instead only provide a city name via IP location.

TrustSwiftly appears reputable, though is quite a small company. Up to personal opinion if you trust them, but it's not Turgame you're trusting.

          • +1

@Dyl: Trust us! And do so swiftly!

            • @Meconium: Trust Swiftly, and us so you!*

Yeah idk how much I trust the swiftly provider but they appear legitimate, I would t provide documents directly to some random Turkish company directly though.

    Best way to bot?

    • +1

It's 2025, you mean best way to ban.

There's no such thing as botting anymore, all clients died. Using auto clickers obviously works, but when I tried this on my ironman I received a warning in under 6 hours even with randomisation turned on.

  • Does this work with OSRS too?

    • Yes, membership is shared across both game modes.

Unsure if OSRS works for it, but worst case you'll need to download the RS3 app and do it via that, then switch back. OSRS app should support buying membership though.

  • G2A > Turgame

    • I can't see any good deals from g2a on RS membership. Can you send a link please?

      • +1

I think they mean for buying Turkish Apple gift cards. They are available there

    • Turgame is ~2-2.5% fees paying via card. (5000 TRY was 5101.75 TRY or 5175.61, depending on payment method)

G2A is 17%+ fees (17% calculated on the best value option; 1200 TRY for 1405 TRY after fees, assumes not paying via G2A balance which reduces this to ~15%)

      • I usually get them when they have their promo discounts active. Also, the process for G2A is dead easy, whereas Turgame has always been a frustrating experience with some debit cards not accepted, some mobile numbers not accepted for 2FA etc. I won't even start on the delays it can take before you receive your keys.

I'll still use Turgame if it's a great deal cheaper and I don't need the keys immediately, but other than that, it's G2A for me.

        • Only issue I've had with Turgame thus far is a ~2hour delivery delay, where as G2A is instant usually

Feel free to post when they're on sale btw, I'd jump on that

        • is it possible to follow a similar process as described above but with google play gift cards instead via G2A?

          • @Shoppingbird: You could try it, but considering there aren't any guides for Google Play (that I'm aware of) I don't it's possible.

  • How many turkish dollars do I need to purchase to get a year?

    • TRY1569.99

      Req 4 cards, ie 1000 + 500 + 50 + 25 (TRY 1575, 5.01 wasted)

Comes to TRY1.610,61 via PayTR (AUD$64.80) / TRY 1.633,92 via IYZI (AUD$65.74) via Turgame.

Note I've had an issue where I accidentally refreshed on the PayTR loading screen and had to contact support to provide my payment reference number (which was still emailed successfully) before my order appeared. Issue doesn't apply to IYZY; it goes straight through with no loading screen.

Note DO NOT use your main iOS account or you'll need to contact apple to remove the remaining TRY before you can switch back regions

  • I miss the good ol turkey google play bonds…

    • +2

The schadenfreude of 'they cancelled my account for circumventing geoblocking!' posts was fun

      • Was this a thing??

I'm yet to pay for membership in AUD. It was previously MXN, now TRY.

    • I miss when MXN bonds were literally cheaper than buying GP from black market sellers. Only a VPN required, no app store or gift cards involved.

It wasn't quite cheaper than black market buy prices (ie couldn't buy bonds then sell GP for a profit), but it was ~5-10% cheaper than their sell prices, even before considering payment processing fees and potential of being scammed or banned.

      • For a while you could make 1-2c/m profit on rs3 and about 8-10c on osrs buying bonds using a Turkish google account then selling. Only limit was around 80-100 bonds every few days, but making a new Google account got around that.

I think the bond prices are still the same, but it's nearly impossible to purchase them if you don't live in Turkey lol

        • Yeah I never tried TRY, MXN was the best I came across

Wouldn't be surprised if a lot of Turkish people actually did this, good way to make some income paid for as USD.

  • My members doesn't run out for ~15 days. Can I buy this now and apply later?

    • Need to wait for it to expire.

    • Wait till it expires, it's long running.

  • +1

Can confirm this worked and had no issues.
Cost about $64.50 ish for 12 months.

Turgame didn't ask for any ID or anything. I just had to wait about 5 hours for them to fulfil the gift card order.

    • I’ve been asked for ID once out of 4 orders, it’s just a generic anti fraud system (checks IP and stuff, VPNs are completely blocked, etc)
