Best Sim, for Long Expire

I have been out of Australia for 7years, what's the cheapest sim to keep a number activated long term currently to receive text messages.

I bought a $6 Vodafone sim for some data for the next week or so I'm here but I'm unsure how much I need to recharge that to keep it active or even activate the promo data.

Amaysim, $10 per year. No data.

    • Thanks for that. Seems like a very good option

        Yes, it's their PAYG plan….

It's good value if you mainly receive calls/text but don't make many as you get charged for outbound.

        • doesn't it expire after a month? so you can receive for a year, but cant send..?

No, every time you pay $10 credit, it lasts for 12 months.
If you top up before the 12 months, you credit rolls over for the next 12 months.

You can make and receive calls and text, but making calls and texting will come off your credit.
