I’ve seen the Amaysim $50 starter kit on sale at Woolworths for $18. I’m interested in grabbing one for use around July 2025, but I’m not sure about the activation expiry date after purchase, can confirm how long I have to activate it?

I was told here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/16487083/redir that they only last for 90 days, was that not right?
I don't know where that user is getting 90 days from. I'm looking at the back of an Amaysim $50 starter pack right now and it says, "Activate SIM within 12 months of purchase."
you are right..on the back it said 12 months after purchased and just got one.
You can try your luck, I have purchased sim pack directly from them and still manage to activate it more than 4 years later. Mind you amaysim will put you on whatever deal available at the time of activation and you might lose out depend on how you purchased the original pack. I bought the 6 month pack (included monthly renew for 6 month) but when activated they only gave me one month. And you have to buy it as bring you number over so they don't activate it automatically. Usually with port in amaysim allow you to put it in limbo state (activate the account but not initiated the porting process) and that's how you get away with it.
Never knew you could limbo activate, nice workaround!
Damn i would be gutted getting 1 month only when suppose to be 6
The wording on the back of the pack is 12 months from the date of purchase, so you'll be fine. (Beyond 12 months, YMMV I guess.)
