Unable to Phone Landline Numbers

Hubby bought a new Moto G75 and inserted his Kogan sim. He's now unable to phone landline numbers. He phoned Kogan and they said you can't ring landline numbers. He could yesterday from his old Motorolla. Could it have something to do with 5G?? I'm at a loss :-(.

Reset network connection on the phone.

    • Sorry to be a dummy but how do I do that?

        in the settings

  • Is hubby dialing 03/02 etc before the landline? or just dialing 9000 0000?

Yes, put area code in before the number but still no luck

        Try +61 before area code.

Swap over with your sim and see if that works?

That might narrow down the cause.

    • I have the same phone but I'm with Boost and funnily enough I can ring landlines. I think the issue may lay with Kogan!!! Seems kinda weird he could ring landlines with his old phone but not the new one? I appreciate your assistance.

Still worth swapping over to confirm there is no issue with the phone… maybe firmware is different ????

At least that way, when you call Kogan again, you can confirm the issue is not with the phone…

Thank you so much for your help jv. We did as you suggested and swapped sims and the issue has now been resolved. Thanks again
