Should I buy the Lenovo 7i Pro 5090 for $4850?

Hello everyone!

So there's a "deal" from the Lenovo education store for the Legion 7i pro (RTX 5090 , 32gb , 1tb, 16 inch OLED screen) and it comes with a 31.5 inch Monitor (RRP $550 + backpack $150 and wireless mouse $99) for $4850, do you guys think it's a good deal?

I have an ASUS Rog G17 (RTX 3070) and it still works great right now, I'm planning to buy it with Salary sacrifice so I'll be saving around $1600-$1700 annually in Taxes as well.. The deal has expired in April and I spoke to the customer service and they decided to give me the same deal again.

It gives around $550 in Lenovo rewards too (I have $625 rewards pending due to the same purchase for my friend recently) So I will have around $1200 in rewards too 30 days after I receive the laptop and can easily grab the Legion Go S for $100-200.

Do you guys think that it's a good deal or should I skip it? do you think that this model will get any cheaper soon with all these accessories?

Thank you!

  • Go for it, sounds like a good investment.

    • yeah, don't keep the monitor, sell it and OP may recoup more benefits as the monitor is usually not itemised on the invoice.

I did something similar few years ago with Gigabyte Aero 15 laptop that came with a Gigabyte M27 monitor that i was able to sell as Brand New for $40 less than retailers.

      • Monitor is $1 only so ..

  • You only live once, buy it

  • No, you still better buy a Lenovo but not this or any other brand new one.
    Buy a used decent Lenovo.

    • you can't SS a used laptop.
