Amazon Orders Not Shipping? #Rural

I've placed a couple of Amazon orders over the last couple of weeks and the items were listed in stock, but neither has shipped and both show 'Order received' and when I click on track it shows 'We will email you when we have an estimated delivery date.'

I have Prime, and noticed that the items no longer list 'FREE delivery by DATE' like they did a couple of weeks ago but instead say 'FREE delivery for Prime members' before I add them to cart.

Is this just a rural thing (live in regional NSW). Anyone else experiencing this in the big cities or regional areas?

Regional areas have been progressively getting shafted over the last 6 months.

Ironically I purchased some dirt cheap meguiars microfibre pads last week and they shipped from the USA in no time and no issues yet struggle to send me some chewing gum from a warehouse 200km away.

  • I remember going for some PS5 deals earlier in the year. I could add it to cart, but when I went to check out, it said they didn't deliver to my address. It appears to be getting worse.

I have noticed the same on a recent order - after 2 weeks I cancelled the order.

I'm making fewer and fewer Amazon orders between items that don't post to me, or are conveniently "no longer available" - becoming a choice of last resort.

Exactly. When AliExpress is faster than Amazon Prime, the choice to support that company is becoming much more clear.

    Move house… problem solved…

    • Haha. I own a detached house on 1/4 acre. Not looking to downsize to a studio for the same price in Sydney. I can exist without Bezos support.

The question is, do you want to 'live' or just 'exist'?

I live in suburban Sydney and I noticed since about a month ago instead of saying delivers next day, it now says it delivers in two days. I first thought it was related to them needing to fulfil a lot of orders for the the Easter/Anzac Day break, but it's never changed back.

Also possibly related, none of the orders I've placed since then have been delivered by Amazon Flex. I've had one delivered by AusPost and two by Dragonfly. I wonder if they've downscaled their Flex operations and are now relying on third party delivery services.

As for OP, there are some items I've clicked on as a test, listed as in stock, and also just says Free delivery for Prime members with no estimated delivery. Something is up with Amazon's logistics, I suspect.

  • Given the reasons to shop ebay & Amazon are waning, their online shopping opposition should lift their game, and cash in.Maybe this is why APost is raising rates?.It sniffs an opportunity to harvest more customers ,without improving their service.(read money for jam)
