Condenser or Vented Dryer Recommendation [Heat Pump - Not Possible]

Hi team, great success with previous post and thought could use the collective wisdom on a dryer which we will have to mount (hence no heat pump). And there is absolutely no space to put it on the floor or stack it. (Yes, I'm as sad as you I can't get a heat pump).

With that said, I have put together a list but know there are probably more. I have read that a condenser is probably better than a vented (we can vent outside).

I'll buy with gift cards to maximise savings too. I also saw Beko were recommended in the past. I also can't believe the prices; these dryers are old tech and yet the prices are pretty stable over the last 5 years.

Condenser dryers are around 40kg and the same weight as heat pump dryers. They cannot be hung on the wall.

  • Could you put the dryer in another room even?

    • As mentioned all options have been considered and it's a no.

      • That's sad. The house I'm at now the laundry is so cramped, getting things out of the washer and into the dryer is a pain. Have been thinking of moving things to the powered shed. Except someone is living in there atm..

I got a refurbished Bosch combo washer dryer a year ago, which are always condenser dryers. A lot of people recommend against them, but I have been very satisfied - maybe the technology is better these days. We didn't have room for a separate dryer.

    • Does everything come out dry? Don't want to hang stuff after using dryer.

Yep, it has cupboard dry and extra dry, I think cupboard dry is fine but wife likes extra dry

  • Just get a simpson and be done with it.

    • Bart doesn't want to dry my clothes.
