I have been renting Bunnings' Britax carpet cleaner for a while now. Would like to buy my own carpet cleaner that can spray cleaning solution as it vacuums (like the Britax at Bunnings). Need recommendations for mid-range options that include large and small cleaning attachment heads for carpets and sofas. Also would like to be able to use it in the car.
Any good brand/model recommendations?

I have the Bissell Powerclean Pet Carper Washer. About $300-ish. Rated very highly in Choice tests. I find it works very well. However it is for carpet or rugs only. No attachments for sofas, etc.
I highly recommend a Bissell Hydrosteam Spot Cleaner AutoMate. around $450-$500. Totally worth it.
It's saved both my couch and mattress from cat piss, twice. My high pile white rug from muddy footprints and multiple coloured liquid spills. My mattress again from baby formula milk spill.
It's not as bulky as it seems in pictures. I'm fortunate enough to have been gifted one by my in-laws - But even if I had to pay for it it's very much worth it.
Is there any cheaper item that you can recommend if spending over $400 seems a bit much for me as I really only want one to clean my singular recliner chair.
If any at all I will secondarily use it to clean some carpet but honestly the main objective is to just clean my single recliner chair I use as my computer chair.
But spending that much on a very little used device to me feels absurd and I don't know if renting from Bunnings/Coles/Woolworths is an option since I don't have a car to transport them.
