What 75" TV Would You Buy Now?

Hi all,

We are looking for a 75" tv around the $2000 mark (or less). I was looking around at the TCL c855 but seems like I'm between versions and the newer model is out of our price range. We currently have s Sony X90J so was also looking at the Sony x90L. We don't game and mostly used for watching netflix and afl :)

What would you do? Wait? By old model (if I can find one)?

Thank you in advance!

  • For me hisense tcl samsung lg, but under 1000.
Money is tight now not the time to spend recklessly

    • Thanks @McMaferMur….
I hear you re money being tight, we are the same but lucky enough to be able to splurge a little on this one. Tough times out there for many! :(

maybe i should say its all depends, if you spend 12 hrs a day in front of tv and have the dough then yeah go $4000 range, but for me after working 8 hours plus 2 hours commute, i can only watch tv for 3 hours before sleep (there are other things to do like dinner and check ozb).
hold as long as you can, that is the real bargain to get, not buying now because cheap, because next week/month it will be cheaper most of the time

The Samsung 75" DU7700 Crystal LED UHD 4K Smart TV [2024]? currently $1195 at JB

    • Way outside my price range but are people actually buying these?! I always thought it was more a novelty thing!

Yes I read your question, first line of this post….Remember saying this?

            So the 75" Sammy Frame.

also not poor, just cheap which is why we are all on ozbargin.

Poor/cheap, same thing. So I shouldn't post a Sammy Frame deal then? 🤔

      • I bought one. Definitely a novelty. Wouldn't buy another one.

  • if I have a Sony x90j and its size is suitable, I would get tv box like an Apple TV. Run apps that I watch on tv box, and use the tv just for the screen.

Most TV shouldn’t come pre-installed with apps anyway, manufacturers do not build a robust software, after a while they are slow. It’ll be even worse if we go down the track to expand say the sound system to receiver, relying on the TV app is setback.

If the size is too small for current demand, I’d get the best mini-LED for my budget.

      Amen.

  • What is your budget?

    One that uses LEDs…
CRTs are on the way out due to global warming…

    • Portable TVs like that are so yesterday.

  • I would check if there are any 75" OLEDs available at that price. If there is, I would buy it. If there isn't, I would wait for a sale or save more money until I could afford to comfortably buy one.

  • Highly recommend the Sony x90L 75" which you've mentioned. Amazing TV. However….not twice as good as the Samsung 75" DU7700 rawm posted above which is half the price. Recommend that.

    • Thanks! I do like the Sony we have now that's why I was leaning towards the x90l but also was hoping to see it on a decent sale given its a bit older?!

  • Did you end up deciding and purchasing one?

    • Sorry mate just saw this. I was delayed for a bit but ended up getting the 75 bravia 5 for 2300.yes over budget!
