Witcher 3 on sale on the eShop. I’ve been looking to buy it for a while, waiting for a special.
Other games on special too, like Lego Harry Potter and Lego Star Wars.

Haven't heard or played any o those game sorry!
I wouldn't bother with that bundle. The only game with a score listed on Deku Deals is Garfield, with only 51%.
For family fun, co-op, I always recommend Untitled Goose Game.
Boomerang Fu, Heave Ho, and Super Bomberman R are all good fun and you can team up or compete with 4 or more players.
Make a Wishlist on Deku Deals to get notified, and you should be able to get most of these combined for not much more than the bundle you linked when they go on sale.
+1 for Boomerang Fu, often goes on sale for ~$1.50 excellent value, good game. Different game modes to play, simple controls, multiplayer, suitable for kids, balancing mechanic. Great fun IMO.
Wonder if this will get a Switch 2 port?
Almost certainly. It's free money or a free update.
Don’t assume it will be free. Hogwarts Legacy for instance is a $10 upgrade. Would likely still be cheaper than buying a switch 2 version.
I thought Hogwarts Legacy had no upgrade, and you need to get the Switch 2 version?

Yep, best to get the switch 1 version on sale (only the digital version) and pay the $10 upgrade fee for HL
Too expensive.
It’s one of the all time greats for under $20.
It’s been much lower elsewhere.
Not on switch
You're a troll at this point. Complaining about Switch 2 console and game prices is one thing but complaining about $20 being too expensive is ridiculous. You did the same thing in 2016 with the $25 Fallout deal, imagine having a decade to earn more disposable income to spend on your hobbies and failing.
When I click on these links - I see the software page but can't access any other software - there's no home menu, nothing. How do you get to the list of titles?
Have a look here :)
Nintendo store price tracker:
And note The Witcher 3 standard edition is $14.99 if you want to save a fiver and don’t think you’ll ever find time to play the DLC.
Oh gawd, don't make me fight the magic toad again!
Toad is actually fine, my vote for the most anti-climactic fight definitely goes to Imlerith and Eredin. At level 34 I was honestly considering fist fighting these clowns.
Don't buy this on Switch if you can help it. I'm a Nintendo fan, but my god it ran horribly. Ended up getting it on PC so I could see the trees before hitting them when I was on my horse.
This will most likely get free upgrade to s2. All cdpr games do.
Sure thing, but should probably wait to get confirmation if you're only buying it because you think it will be upgraded to a platform with better hardware to run it better than not well.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but even without an upgrade pack, the game should just run better on NS2 anyway, yeah? e.g. Frame rates, loading speeds, rendering speed etc should all see improvements simply because the hardware has more processing power and won't buckle under the demands of the game.
An upgrade pack (when or IF available) would provide actual improvements, things like higher resolution, 60 FPS etc.
Regarding your tree loading issue, sounds similar to Zelda BOTW once the DLC is completed, the game struggles to load the environment fast enough and even freezes occasionally, when riding around on the "new mount". Keep to see if this is resolved on NS2, with or without the upgeade pack.
Is this the case for digital Nintendo games though? Thought they don't bring games over onto the new console from a previous generation. Also, S1 games not compatible with S2?
All "compatible" S1 games (physical/eshop) will be playable on S2; the switch 2 is backwards compatible.
Even though they have said "compatible" I am personally confident that a very high percentage of games will be compatible and it will only be unique or edge case titles which won't be conpatible. I was thinking things like Ring Fit Adventure and LABO etc. But, pretty sure I saw on the Nintendo site that Ring Fit Adventure would be pkayable on S2, so I guess the JoyCon 1s can be connected to the S2.
Not sure if digital only games will see any upgrade packs.
We'll have to wait and see to confirm how many games are or aren't.
Edit: Tonnes of detail here very high percentage of games work, no issues.
@A 1: Yeah, nah, that’s not actually the case. It’s hidden in the descriptions, the overwhelming majority of Switch 1 titles (~80%) sit in the “Game can be launched, further tests in progress” category, whilst even the (~21%) or so of compatible titles have “No issues found during basic compatibility testing, or issues are planned to be addressed” against them - planned to be addressed is not quite “working 100%” either.
Switch 2 isn’t actually compatible with anything Switch 1, it’s emulation, and they still have a ton of work to do here.
Estimations at launch wildly vary, but safe to assume a lot of Switch 1 titles not compatible at launch.
@paulrozza: Yeah, you're right, I agree with almost everything you've posted above. thanks for taking the time to clarify for myself and everyone. Late last night I misread the descriptions on the graphic and didn't notice the 3 different shades of blue either. A bit sneaky of Nintendo to use three different shades of blue to represent 3 different categories. They don't even have a "fully compatible" category listed at all.
Though I will say, while direct hardware backwards compatibility is always best (100% compatibility), software emulation is still a valid method of backwards compatibility. But until that software is fully completed, there will continue to be compatibility issues and, like you said, they have a mountain of work to do here, I'm worried they're not going to get there in the end. Overall, I find the situation disappointing and concerning, I expected better.
PSA: I guess don't transfer your save files across until you know the game is fully compatible on NS2.
Ah no way I'll leave it then
This is one of the best games made in the last 20 years and it's less than $20. What more can I say.
Given that CDPR did a free upgrade from previous gen (Xbox One &PS4) to the current gen (Xbox Series S/X & PS5) there's a good chance this may get a free update for Switch 2.
Thronebreaker The Witcher Tales also on sale at $7.49. Not the same style of game but set in the Witcher universe
Forgot this had cross save, time to finally grab it on Switch! Thanks OP.
If you haven't played the Witcher 3, you aren't a true gamer! But this is a bit overpriced, it's regularly $5 on steam or gog. I guess switch users have low standards.
The games graphics have aged very well, mods enhance it so that it's comparable with modern titles. The narrative is just sublime, and it has the best side quests, don't miss them, gritty, dark but you have a chance to save souls and bring peace, or just be a dick. Triss all the way!
Nintendo tax
agreed steam/gog are better, but those $5 (or $4 recently) sales were only for the base version, weren't they? this deal is for complete edition
That's probably correct, in that case it's at least similar. Maybe it's better to buy the base version tho, then play the DLC's if you you can finish the main story.
Have this on steam, tried to get into it multiple times in the past but it was such a slog I couldnt get into it for the first ~3 hrs and i would stop playing. Come last weekend I was bored out of my mind, and I decided to play it and push through, I would say the game really starts to hook you ~7 hrs in once you get all the basics down. The graphics, story progression and voice acting are fantastic.
I have it on PC but I have been running it on steam deck and its fine (not the greatest experience but I love the mobility) so I imagine the Switch version might struggle bit more, otherwise, its a fantastic game.
This game has dynamic resolution :) switch 2 will help
Tempted to get this incase they do a cheap upgrade on Switch 2 for those who own the game on Switch 1….
Same haha, 540p handheld and dynamic 720p docked seems a bit rough currently. But what about the future! No doubt the price would go up if they do a Switch 2 patch, but no guarantees it gets one.
Opinions on this bundle? Good for kids/couch coop family?
