  • What resolution are you planning on using?

Either of the second or third, but why/ how did you arrive at only those 3 options?

    • not fuss on resolution, monitor upgrade will happen at a latter date

If not fussed on resolution, then buy a used PC with a 6600xt

Yes but you don't want to buy something now that cannot output to your 'future' monitor. Plan ahead.

  • Have you looked at something from Nebula PC?

i am looking for a PC gaming setup and come between 3 i like

What do you like about them? Specs?

    • only issue with nebula ( i contacted them via email they do not accept amex, i only have amex cc :()

      • You have a bank account?

        • i do, but i prefer credit card for points

          • +5

@HereYeeHereYee: Which you can't get, if they don't take your card . Do you want points or a decent PC?

          • +4

@HereYeeHereYee: You're overpaying by about $500 each of those you've linked. Are the points really worth that much??!

One of the ozb specials (nebula, galapower, techfast) are much better value / performance.

Also, you know GTA VI isn't likely to hit pc for a few years right?! And right now is possibly the worst time to buy a GPU.

            • @jk82: the only difference is theyre interstate, i picked the 2 because its local and was opting for same week pickup (delivery can vary depending turnaround)

edit: ill check out gala power, they have a good sale atm, cheers for the heads up :)

Basically I hate looking at / comparing pre-builts because you have no idea which exact part is spec'd or will be installed in the end.

    1. 5060 Ti will be severely nerfed without PCIe5.0 - check that they will supply a motherboard that can support that standard. Probably random junk/bronze PSU.
    2. Without any further information, maybe the slight favourite. 4070 is faster by about 10%?, Gold PSU is the minimum.
    3. Only 2 year warranty - less than #1 and #2. B650M Prime comes without VRM cooling on the top, so limits your CPU upgrade path in the future.

    Those are overpriced af

What about PCs from TechFast? Galapower? Evatech? Literally any of the prebuilts posted on OzB frequently?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/tag/desktop-computer

    • have taken a look, i see few comments people saying they been waiting 3 weeks etc and no response etc, this is why i opt for local / can drive locally instead of interstate (am based in sydney :)

      • I bought from techfast previously, they deliver fast. 3 weeks is not a long time to wait. You can always reach out to them through Ozbargain, they are good at responding. Prior to ordering ask what the timeframes are.
If you want it now locally, you'll be paying ~$500 for not waiting a short time, not worth it IMO, if you're price sensitive.

gta6 is still a year away from release that is if they actually release it on time. If I were you I did just hold on to my cash and get one closer to release date with a better deal.

    • +3

A year away… for consoles. PC could be another year or two after that.

      • Exactly, it'll be 2+ years for PC most likely. If it really is "for GTA6", OP really needs to hibernate for like 1.5 years then look at the PC market.

  • +2

You can build a 4070 PC for cheaper than all those options. Not that difficult.

    • i was thinking of doing that :D

      • +3

Building yourself is definitely worth it, a great deal of fun and you gain an understanding of your PC's components in the case something goes wrong :)

      • Have you built a PC before?
If not then ensure you use compatibility checkers to ensure parts match up
If you're not well informed ie… diff. motherboards for Intel / AMD, know parts for GPUs ie… 5060 has 8gb and 16gb versions, you're better off to buy from techfast or another one one Ozbargain with good reviews

What happened to that 12600K you wanted to build 2 years ago?

        • Got it done with a mate but in the end, I gave it away to my nephew 😂
