Advice on Best Deal for New/Refurbished PC for Windows 11

Hi folks, my current PC doesn’t support windows 11 and I want to purchase a new one for office work. I’m not too phased about what the box looks like I just want a decent computer for a decent price. It’s only really used for web surfing and the MS365 programs including Outlook that connects to a hosted exchange server. No gaming required.

Happy to go refurbished or new but would like some sort of warranty for peace of mind.

Can anybody out there please point me to some decent deals that you may have come across lately or if you are kind enough to have a look on eBay and point me to what you think is a good deal for my purpose I would be very appreciative.

    What are the specs of what you have now?

      I think it’s the CPU. It’s an Intel core i7-2600

        i got 11 running on i5-2nd gen with 8GB ram, works fine for browsing, office apps & tubes.
        Just download Rufus and let it take care of everything.

        Worst that can happen is you get to see how it goes, then make your decision

      I ordered a Dell Optiplex 7080 with an intel gen 10 i7 chip for $475 delivered from the eBay store you suggested. Got an eBay 15% off in the deal.

        I managed to get a 7070 i7 9700 16Gb Win 11 Pro for $270 recently…

        It was supposed to come with a 500Gb HDD but also had a second 1TB HDD in it too when it arrived…

        I recently bought at 2TB SSD to use as the boot drive and for my main drive, so this should do me for at least the next 5 years…

    Recently bought one Optiflex 7070 30gb and 1Tb SSD refurbished from Amazon via Melbourne Estore $517 small platform. Absolutely works fine loaded with Win 11 Pro to replace older desktop on win10 not upgradeable.
    Second one Optiflex 7070 30gb 500MB ssd to replace friend's archaic Acer..Win 11 Pro also $500. Good range available day to day varying prices depending on specs, and delivered within 2-3 days.. This had a faulty video card and replaced within a day by a new replacement.
    Great Customer service from E Store and can phone direct. Sure they are old models, but so am I, sure to outlast me !.

    Thanks all for the replies and help. I have ordered a new (refurbished) PC. I decided I was due an upgrade anyhow and I can keep the old machine running with all my data while I migrate and be sure I don’t lose anything rather than attempt to upgrade my non “officially” supported old machine.
