to alert you..
Ding fries are done! You are in the toilet taking a dump 5 meters away from the airfryer. The airfryer will notify you via your phone that your fried chicken wings are ready. This is the most important function since sliced bread.
Ahh yes, both valid points, I stand corrected. The loud bell on mine is useless for this purpose.
Will it still alert me if im not taking a dump?
The more important thing to note here with the increasing number of connected devices is… that Silicon Valley probably does know you are taking a dump.
@MrFrugalSpend: Agree. The only thing left is you swallow a little chip during your meal. When you take a dump you'll be able to track it floating away in the sewers.
I'm waiting for the new model with AI, interior camera, and quantum something.
You can send the time/temp settings from recipes in the app to the device.
So it can join the botnet
Ideally you would hope that you can preheat the airfryer from another room from your phone so that it is ready to just put your food straight in when you get to the kitchen.
wow that's Cheap
$150 for an airgryer is cheap?
Never tried an air fryer before, worth it?
Have you tried a convection oven? ie fan-forced? This is basically the same - a small convection oven. Heats faster, more air-flow, easier to clean. And it has wifi!
Great e.g. for cooking chips fast while the main oven is cooking the meat & veg at a lower temp.Oh yes. Last night I did a roast chick in the airfryer - and it cooked up beautifully. And quicker than cooking in the oven.
We use ours a lot.
Last night I did a roast chick in the airfryer
This implies you either cooked up a poor baby chicken… or a human female.
It'll get all confusing if we have people walking around saying,
A: "Yeah, Last night I did a hot chick - beautiful"
B: "Umm - Too much information!"
A: "What, oh, no wait, I just mean cooked a hot roast chicken!"… but yes, agree on the air fryer use for roasting chicken!
Fair cop!
I read chicken, as they had roast in front of it.
I think your brain might be cooked…. I mean, air fried.
Spit roasted a chick last night.
Ever wanted PERFECT chips, party pies, sausage rolls, crumbed fish etc? air fryers are the answer
Yes! I barely use my oven anymore and the Air Fryer cooks it so much quicker.
Totally. Ours is used almost daily.
I once asked the same question.
was looking for an airfryer thanks!
What’s the wattage? Not too bothered about the wifi but I just found these at a lower price with eBay codes and the wattage seems pretty decent:
6L instead of 7L for $74.25 with an eBay promo code https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/396615400622
Or this 6L that’s also a grill and oven for $111.75 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/396615447651
cool but not sure I'd put that brand on the same level as a 5000 series Philips
From experience philips ones are the bomb.
So where can I find this coupon?
There’s a small box that you have to tick right under the price tag.
There is a $10 one from eBay and the other is automatically applied at checkout so no need to copy and paste.
Ah, ok. Thanks for that. :)
What is the coating used in this? I don't think its Ceramic coating. It will be better to get stainless steel based one.
Any recommendation for SS airfryer?
Check out Buffalo air fryer . Was the only air fryer I could find with with SS bowl.
Been using it for a few months now. I think its slower to cook comparing to air fryer like Phillip, but one of our main criteria was SS bowl :)
I sold my Phillips after deliberately looking for something better and I found this
Best kitchen device ever. I call it air griller, as it grills steaks, sausages and fish like a pro. No toxic coating, just glass. Phillips was unwashable.
Isn't a large part of the point of the airfryer that it sits on a rack so some of the fat gets blown out?
Looks like that has a glass bowl with a mesh floor for that purpose?
Noticed that some people commented it has a gap between glass bowl and the unit through which the hot air escapes. Have you noticed any issue?
Might be easier to get this than cleaning my old digital Philips XXL air fryer
Username checks out.
I got this recently for pretty much this reason - my old unit's basket is caked with gunk that's really hard to get off.
I don't like this new model compared to my old one. Hate the buttons - so much easier just using 2 dials for temp and time. The older one had a slide the basket sat in, on this one the basket pulls out completely - not as convenient to check cooking mid flight.
Lol on the same boat here, looked at replacement the basket and it's like 110 already.
Nice, been meaning to get one of these.
THEY MITE ASWELL PUT A CAMRA IN IT
…and a spell CHEQUER!
y? - watts Rong whiff there sperling?
Have the instant pot vortex. I don't really like it and it has higher ratings than this Philips.
Not too impressed with Phillips air fryers. A few hrs ago, My 11 month old HD9270 died on me. A small piece of plastic that depresses a safety switch when the basket is closed just snapped off. Expect better for something with a $300 RRP. Capacative buttons on a kitchen appliance is also unforgivable.
Phillips made premium air fryers years ago, their new line up are aren’t any better than no-name brands. Such a shame, I guess the bean counters got their way.
Oh really? Damn that's a shame, I've always loved the philips ones.
Still got my $89 10L Mistral one from Aus post. Been going strong for 4 years. What functions would this have over mine?
Wi-Fi.
Yes, I forgot I needed WiFi.
lol - yes I have such a habit of putting on my air fryer then forgetting immediately, leaving the house, going to the shops, catching up with friends and fortunately then my air fryer sends me a notification my food is ready - oh thank goodness it tells me it is ready over wifi - I have such a need for this!! … NOT!!
Can this schedule a timer to start cooking?
Seems to be very basic function that no air fryer haveNot sure why you'd want to leave raw meat sitting in it for hours before cooking starts up.
I can’t find the coupon code - is it still active?
Ditto. No coupon on Amazon to reduce price.
Mine from the 8th still hasn't shipped
Delivery got pushed back from tomorrow to next Thursday even though I have Amazon Prime.
Just received mine today. Kept it in a box as my airfryer still working lol
It would make sense to use this as much as possible while it's under warranty.
Available again
Thanks OP … somehow I got $60 off final price $138
i got the same
seriously though, what use cases are there for the wifi?
I kinda like following recipes in the app, you can just send the settings for each step then follow the progress
Is this smart version or dummy😄
Damn, I bought it yesterday having FOMO. Now the coupons back? Rip me.
Cancel before shipping?
Literally arrived 5 mins after seeing the update.
Return it?
I would buy this in a heartbeat if someone can tell me how to clean the element and fan properly.
Had the classic one, used two to three time a week for two years. Once you open the top half, you will know how disgusting it is. I thrown my straight to the bin.
Pour warm soapy water in, soak it for a few hours. Light scrub with a sponge. Done.
The element and fan though? I can't get in behind the element on my Instant Pot Vortex, and oil is definitely building up until it inevitably catches fire.
Only the side facing down u can clean, everything else is not accessible. Disgusting as hell after two / three years of use.
is this worth it over normal airfryers?
Convenience
This is a normal Air Fryer?
is it?
It is?
Thanks - just picked one up
Physically or figuratively?
Discount code gone.

Is this a good model?
Yes. I have it and like it.
RPP seems inflated given it seems to be 199 almost everywhere.
I paid to rrp last year.
good price
