This is precisely why you never buy any game at launch ESPECIALLY a Ubisoft game

Perfect for trading in at JB to get Death Stranding 2

    • Doesn't appear to be included in the trade in list

  • I'm bored tomorrow night so for $40 who recommends it?

    • +1

Really depends what you like. If you like some of Ubisoft's other painfully mediocre games, you'll like this one.

I bought this last week and so far I'm really enjoying it. It's had a lot of patches post launch which has addressed some of the issues critics had. For $40 it's a decent buy.

I really enjoyed this game, one of the few games I took the effort to platinum. It's not TOO long, about 2 weeks of daily play, so I liked that. I finished it over the Summer school holidays.

Not related, but I also got it in Akihabara from a 2nd hand game store (Trader) which was a bit of fun.

    • If you like Star Wars, you’ll like it. I found it to be like being in the movie, a bit corny, simple gunplay etc. the exploration is nice. Equipment upgrades were pretty linear. But yeah if you like the movies you will like it.

    • I enjoyed it quite a bit! Fun exploration, rich detailed environments.
2 big worlds, 3 or so smaller ones.
Kind of felt like Far Cry, Ass Creed and Mad Max combined.

Since launch/reviews, theres been a couple quality-of-life updates which streamlines the game a lot more.

    • How are you bored in advance?

Picked this up for $44 a couple of months back, and honestly, it’s a pretty solid Star Wars game. That said, I can’t help but feel like they missed a trick with the main character. She’s fine, likeable enough but she just doesn’t quite fit the tone the game could have had.

It really feels like it was crying out for a grittier, morally grey scoundrel in the Han Solo vein, someone a bit rough around the edges who earns their redemption.

Instead, we get the classic “scrappy girl with a heart of gold,” and while it’s serviceable, it just feels like a safer, less interesting choice for this kind of story. Missed opportunity, in my opinion.

    • Do you need to log into a Ubisoft account to play it?

I really hate how they've done that for their other games. I'm guessing it's the case for this one.

    • I found the same thing. If they made her a bit more edgy, a bit deeper, it would have gone a long way. Some of her self deprecating dialogue should have been replaced with wit and snappy comebacks.

  • Xbox version is out of stock.

  • Price matching Target. Got this the other day from Target using the $10 off $50 newsletter hack.
Effectively paid $30 for it, probably about what its worth.

Bought the gold edition last month for $68. Haven't fired it up yet but looking forward to it.

Just want Indiana Jones to drop to this lind of pricing now!

  • I will wait for sub $30.
