Cheap Nintendo Switch 2 Pre Order Is This Real? eBay

Hi guys, this looks too good to be true and I know there are some fake listings, but the seller has good reviews, and the ad seems legit?

Is this real or a hacked account? Maybe a person is just trying to keep the money and not send it. Like a loan?
i tried to message them and no reply, just wondering what is going on here, it's a bit shady.
I see they are selling a used motherboard too.

Update: they replied to my message, maybe its real? or not.

  • It's probably a scam.

  • Or the bought with some deal (like discounted gift cards or fly buy dollars or Kogan credit) and selling it off to recoup part of the discount

    • this is better then the deals posted on here with the discounted gift cards and others hm..

      • Well I bought from OfficeWorks with 10% off gift cards so that would be $692.10. If you would have done that in the last few weeks you would have got 6920 flybuys points ($34.60).

Not saying the listing is legit, just saying it's possible.

        • yeah, but ebay fees eat up most of that too but hopefully your right and its not just another scam.

        • eBay fees (13.4% + $0.30) and postage cost on this listing is about $110, even after discounted gift cards and flybuy points, they would lose about $68.

          • @hamza23: Thanks. Ive never sold on eBay so have no idea about fees.

          • -1

            @hamza23: They wouldn't lose money because you're assuming their $1 = $1.

$68 loss would be acceptable if I knew I was getting the gift cards free or cash was on rebate.

    • looks like your right with kogan, i just got a SMS from kogan with an order id and my name, I checked my account no orders were made. unless its a fake SMS but its odd timing.

      • Kogan had a thing where you signed up for a Kogan credit card and got $300 credit to use. Maybe that’s the angle.

  • +1

There are a handful of Australian retailers that have been allocated pre-order units. I'll go out on a limb to say that I think user 'tc423' on ebay is not on Nintendo's list of retail partners.

  • Based on feedback of the Seller and paying with PayPal I’d probably give them benefit of the doubt. Though I’m not in the position where if I was missing $699 for the better part of two months I’d not be able to keep on living as normal.

However that same position I’m in above means it probably isn’t worth the ~$50 risk by ordering elsewhere with discount gift cards.

So… Buy it and get lucky to save a few dollars, or buy it and get scammed. Either way, I’ll keep an eye out for the follow-up Deal / Forum Post of ‘Switch 2 $699 delivered from eBay’ or ‘Help I got scammed on eBay’
