Under Desk Walking Pad / Treadmill Recommendations

Can anyone who's actually bought and used an under desk treadmill, or walking pad, please suggest any that have been decent quality and somewhat reliable?

Please don't comment on what the point of these devices are and why I should, or should not just walk outside.

None of the existing posts on OzBargain about this topic have any useful suggestions and neither does Reddit.

I have been searching for a decent option for a while and can't seem to choose one.

Most of the Amazon listings are full of fake 5 star reviews and the official Walking Pad brand options are way too expensive at $699-$1,200.

Ideally something within the $300 range or below.

Please dear internet gods bless this post with helpful suggestions and thank you.

What quality do you think $300 is going to get you?
I presume most people get sick of them after a week, so maybe $300 is fine.

    • Most of the generic options on Amazon and other sites are within that price range. Walking Pad brand with prices of up to $1,200 aren't highly reviewed either, so I'm wondering if there are decent options within the low price range.

I think as long as it has a brushless motor, it should have a decent product lifespan.

Does it need to be a treadmill?

My wife swears by this under desk bike.

It's next to silent when in use and it keeps her legs moving. She suffers from fibromyalgia and keeping her legs moving almost eliminates most of the pain in her legs.

    • Thanks for that suggestion. Would prefer a treadmill where I stand, as sitting for too long makes me uncomfortable.

    • "My wife swears by this under desk bike."

18kg flywheel on that one. Grok can only find me one other mini exercise bike with magnetic resistance - Lifespan Fitness Cyclestation 2 - and it's only 2.5kg but less than half the price. I don't know how important flywheel weight is in that application.

      • She uses bugger all resistance. It's all about the movement for her condition.

at $300 you are probably buying yourself something to chuck out at the next verge collection
bought my partner a Lifespan WalkingPad M2 last yr, she probably uses it 2-4 days per week at standing desk.
Key requirement was that it folds up. it connects to phone via an app
Paid $529 + 60$ shipping via Harvey Norman at christmas time.
first one was a lemon and carked it pretty quick, somehow managed to wrestle Harvey Normans horrible customer service into sending a replacement which has since been fine

I would have considered this model but it has many negative reviews online with people having a similar experience to you.

Honestly would prefer buying something from Amazon Australia. Their customer service support is amazing and they would refund or replace products in an instant if they are faulty.

Not a treadmill, but an under desk elliptical - Cubii JR2, got it used on gumtree. Love it.
I had a similar machine from Aldi and it was terrible.
