Not as low as last deal when it was $59 but still a deal. Same price at OW, JB,…
Someone may try to price beat/check @ TGG (listing $119 at time posting). But I remember last time TGG was the one who started the war when it set the price at $59 first. So I'm HOLD.

Must see good deals on Amazon products on prime days. Might be worth the wait

    • I managed $60 before an $11 shopback 18/11 last year through Amazon and shopback , was happy with that

Wouldn't you prefer a GoogleTV stick over one of these?
The Amazon app store sometimes has old versions of apps which makes it frustrating.

    • more updates and better hardware and half the price

    • +1

I find Google TV a bit laggy especially when on the home screen. Amazon stick on the other hand is quite snappy but I do agree with lack of certain apps which you need to sideload using a third party app.

        I don't…

@batrarobin: Haven't you overclocked your Google TV?

      prefer a GoogleTV stick

      No such product…

    • They only have the Google TV Streamer at about $140 now. No more Chromecast/Google TV with Chromecast.

    • depends on your use. i use mine for "unoffial" streaming and it works fantastic

Firestick is easier to sideload apps like Tivimate and subscribe to an IPTV provider for streaming everything

Waiting for Prime Day in July. I got two for $79 with 20% cashback two years ago.

    • Yeah, this post isn't a bargain imho

      Sorry for negative vote

  • I paid $59 for mine (from Amazon) back in Nov

These are normally $49 or less during prime day! Never pay $89!

    • Not this 4K max, it was 4K model.

These are normally $49 or less

That's how I remember the price, just wondering why $89 is a bargain.

Been waiting for a deal on these for months. Seems like I'll have to keep waiting

It has been 2 years…. Better wait for new version

      • +2

I got the new version last year and it's slower than the old version :(
Also many artefacts when streaming 4k, especially in the shadows.

        • +1

          New version blows goats.
If I use certain subscription apps (non-prime) then exit and watch something else, I have to restart the stick to be able to watch the same subscription app I was previously watching.
Amazon support basically said that since this "fix" worked, then there was no issue.

          • +1

@Tiggrrrrr: Yeah they just want you to use their own apps and nothing else.

I got my old one working and sold the new one. It streams 4k over network using VLC no dramas.

        • It appears this issue was solved as of 12th November last year.
