    $45.99 with the code SAVA8V.

  • Out of stock, the moment I pressed Add to Cart it went out of stock :(

Nevermind, cleared cache and its working again

  • OOS

    • There's 9 left now and some more on Amazon FYI

  • +1

My last two Oral-B toothbrushes lasted less than a year each; it's time to move on to something else.

    • Which model?

      • +3

The 1st one I can't remember, it was around the $400 mark, the second one was an Oral-b genius black, should still be under warranty.

        • DAmn! I used to change the battery and replace with Eneloops every 3-4 years. It's finicky though.

    • +4

Personally I've had one for 13 years and the other for 5. Hasn't missed a beat. Just don't buy bottom spec, if you buy mid-range they will last for ages.

      • Yeah, I've had them before too and they lasted a very long time. Been unlucky lately.

        • -1

Yep definitely sounds off, I'd claim with warranty and see how you go. Could even be something charger/outlet related as well if it's killed two.

    • +1

oral b toothbrushes have standard 2 year warranty btw

      • Unfortunately, the first one was a gift and didn't have the receipt :-(

    • Unlucky, I bought the one in this thread last year after my previous OralB lasted about 8 years

    • Yep mine too. I bought the expensive one and it died within a year. It will start up and then instantly stop.

I'm still searching for a toothbrush that charges via USB-C. It's ridiculous that we still rely on these proprietary chargers

    • +11

USB ports don't toothpaste proof well even with a rubber flap compared to a completely sealed unit

      • Fair. Wireless then!

        • +6

And you will need their proprietary wireless charger…

Imagine having to stand this toothbrush on a Qi wireless charging pad XD

        • Yeah I miss having the Oclean - wireless charger was proprietary but it was more flat without that big spike and it was connected via USB.

    • +1

I imagine the issue would be water ingress even if it's rated IP6x or whatever

    • Happy to have a little induction charger at home, but might be handy for a travel toothbrush. I just use a manual brush in my travel toiletries.

    • Haha funny to see others also having the instant reaction of "you want a USB plug on something that's kept on a wet bathroom countertop and gets covered in toothpaste?"

    • Suri has one (trysuri.com). That said I don't think the toothbrush itself is as good as the oral b, although has advantages (eg 40 day battery life)

  • Bought this a month ago to replace an older pro 4000 model. Good model.

Electric toothbrushes are such high “ROI” items. Ditch the manual brushing.

    • Yea I'll never look back to a manual toothbrush!

  • +1

Cheers OP, 104 sold and 9 left when I just got one.

  • If it says out of stock try waiting 10 minutes and refreshing. It seems to have been going in and out of stock over the past half an hour.

  • +1

    back in stock

Great price! I was going to buy one, but I just found a 2nd hand electric toothbrush for half that on FB marketplace. It's charging at the moment, and I'm giving the bristles a good soaking in OMO.

    • +1

      Get a new brushhead

    • I don't think you want to digest OMO. Probably worth biting the bullet and just buying a new head, even if aftermarket.

      • OMO is cheap and white linen is my favourite flavour.

    • +3

Mate, did you buy a used toothbrush on FB marketplace?

Pm me I will buy this for you, for the love of god

      • +1

Why? Heaps of bargains to be found. I've saved heaps on ortho work by buying old retainers cheap. The kids stop complaining after a while.

        • +2

im a bargin hunter too but some things are just not 2nd hand reusable, esp a toothbrush

    • This one is cheap enough to buy new.
Note that the NEWER iO models require the more expensive new style brush heads.

  • what's the go with replacement heads for these? just get authentic on discount? or a generic option.

    • The sale just started… I'll go in and out of stock for awhile.

Shaver Shop @ eBay will restock when it's out of stock, they keep it low quantity to get more people to buy it because it looks like its running out!

    • I get the cross action ones from ebay, aim for less than $2.20 per brushhead.

  • +1

    Thanks OP. Bought one.

  • +1

Ty for posting, managed to grab one. Still in stock.

  • +1

Was waiting for a good deal to get the travel case, mine's broken and the third-party ones on Amazon are absolutely trash in quality.
    Upgrading from a 2000 to 2500x.

    Thanks OP!

  • +1

    Thanks OP 😁

  • +1

Nice thanks upgrading from my basic ass one haha

    • +2

The iO brush heads are outrageously expensive. They're about $20 each. No way would I "upgrade" to an iO model because of that.

      • I see. It's like double the price.

  • About time I upgraded from a manual brush. I'm starting to notice gym receding from overbrushing, so this will help. TnxOP

  • Anyone successfully stack the monthly ebay+ $5 with the $4 code? Mine say I can only apply one for the order

  • +1

Amazon has matched the price($45.99) and I had a $5 discount if I spend $60 which I had to anyway for free shipping.

  • -2

I feel like this is a parts bin model, there are no reviews outside of Amazon and Shavershop. This model does not exist on Youtube, social media sites.

      • -2

Yea but not many other places and no article reviews.

        • I believe somebody mentioned in another thread that these model are basically rebranded from another model but added with the travel case, in this case it might be the Oral-B Pro 2 2500.

          • -2

@AaronRain: The Pro 2 2500 was discontinued Jan 2024 last year. If you see any stock, it's just old and mostly sold from outlets like Amazon and Shavershop as dumping grounds. I think the 2500x is a cut price parts bin model. It doesn't even have the charge or battery indicator like the discontinued Pro 2 2500. I think the price is overly inflated and around $50 is what it should be sold at normally for a parts bin model to reduce parts stock.

            • +1

@Dollar Dreamer: AI: "So, while "rebranded" might be a strong word, it's accurate to say that the Oral-B Pro 2500X is a very close relative of the Oral-B Pro 2 2500, designed to offer the same core experience with potentially a slightly different bundle, most notably the travel case. It's a strategic move by Oral-B to maximize their product line with minor variations."

Also not sure where you got no charge indicator from, it's literally in the OP and I can confirm having bought one:
"Battery Life Indicator: Signals when it's time to charge"

              • -2

@AaronRain: The Pro 2 2500 that was discontinued had an actual battery indicator showing battery level. This is a cut priced parts bin model and shouldn't be used as a discounted premium model that the discontinued Pro 2 was.

  • Code for $4 off for me was SAVB8.

  • Use $5 Bonus Cashback on $25 Spend in One Transaction at eBay Australia @ TopCashback AU (Activation Required, No Codes) instead to get $5 + 3% cash back till 31 May 2025. Total about $43.49 after cashback.

  • I've applied for eBay plus and none of the mentioned codes work with this product for me. The deal must be targeted.
