  You could get the 83-inch model for the same price less than a month ago. Also, I would personally pay an extra $1200 and get the 77-inch G5 which has been popping up at least twice a month since May. It's a massive step up in PQ

    I wouldn't, the HDR issues don't do it for me. G4 > G5 for now.

      The HDR issues are way overblown. Go and actually see the TV for yourself in-person side by side with the C5/C4 - night and day difference in PQ

        Disagree, it's a big enough issue to matter on HDR content. I'm sure they'll find a way to patch it or something, but until then, it's absolutely not overblown.

      Agree - the Hdr10 issue on G5 is a massive issue. Merajaan seems to be downplaying the issue quite a bit.

      Hopefully firmware will fix it in future, but paying extra for worse quality is poor form.

  Found a specification change from the C4 to C5 that some buyers may find useful - supposedly LG dropped support for the following audio codecs on C5 models including via eARC / passthrough:
  DTS
  DTS-HD
  DTSx
