I have an (automated) garage roller door. It is jamming up and is hard to open by hand and cannot be openned with the motor. I have had an attempt to fix it, but haven't had much progress.
Some quick investigation has suggested that most places charge $150 call out just to have a look at it. I don't want to pay that just to be told that they want to charge $X to replace it. So what I would like to know:
Has anyone had roller doors serviced in the Melbourne area? What did you pay? Where you happy with the service?
Has anyone had a roller door installed? What did you pay?
It is simple single door.
I don't expect that most service calls involve much more than just cleaning the runners and spraying on some more silicon spray lube (from h/w store). It's all I do a couple of times a year.
Unless the door or frame has been damaged or warped this might be all you need.
