an apple cash back excludes all apple products

  • What if you are using the balance in your account to make the purchase, is it eligible?

"Retina 5k 27-inch" they haven't sold this for 3 years lol

    apple edu?

    • I’m wondering this too!

I can’t see MacBook Pro on that list strangely but everything else is.

  • Excludes redeeming gift cards too :(

  • +2

Too many exclusions. They might as well specify what does qualify - old, out of date tech only!

    • As @stewface says, no restrictions on MacBook Pros curiously 🤔

Also, no mention on refurbs. Has anyone ever tried cashback for them?

      It's 14-15% off mid-spec and higher models, e.g., a 14-in M4 Pro (24 GB + 1 TB) is $3,399 — save $600.

I’m guessing education store is not included?

    • Education store had its own separate cashback of a measly 1.5% I believe

    Is it a joke?

    Hi all,

Had similar thoughts as to what works and doesn't. I bought x3 Mac minis through standard, education and union store. Will update which shopback works and doesn't.

Thanks odieosser. That’s will be very helpful indeed. 🙏

      • Okay can confirm it worked, got the 'cashback tracked' email from shopback about 15 minutes ago. 8% westpac + 2% westpac + 2% apple pay (max $120) confirmed for all 3 purchases. For some reason the 8% upsized cashback only equalled out to be around 6.4%, not too sure why. Either way, worked for all 3. Make sure to split up payments so that you maximise the 8/2/2% cashback (limit of $80, $20, $20 respectively).

Can we get a list of what’s included for cashback?

  • I think it might be needed to include what you CAN get cashback on, the exclusion list basically excluded almost every product i know that apple sells

  • May be the most confusing title ever on ozbargain. Too much shorthand.

  • Cool so it excludes nearly everything and gift cards
    Don't bother shopback

  • Embarrassing promo lol
