Please no-one buy this, it's horrible (It's incredible and I want to gate-keep)

  • I got the HUGO BOSS BOTTLED ELIXIR, it's really not nice like people make out. Very strong and makes you feel crook if you use more than 1 or 2 sprays. Wish I sampled it first.

    • ELIXIR is obviously a different smell,, smell & taste always subjective.. I have both ELIXIR & Absolu. I really like Absolu..

Yeah maybe I should have got that one. Being a Bottled it should be from the same scent family. I prefer more citrus and woody scents (like original green, boss, etc).

Won't buy any more blindly based on Ozbargain comments though, as you say it's a very personal preference.

        • If you have a bit of coin to splash, have a smell of Gris Dior next time you pass a Dior boutique. Best fragrance I have ever smelled in my life (and I've smelled many). I purchased a bottle back when it was $600 for 250ml. Now it's $820 for 200ml.

          • @Maths Debater: Wow that must be devine, will have a sus!

I really wish Gucci Envy was still around, one of my favourites, especially for winter. Dunno if you can recommend the next best thing?

    • It's strictly for cold weather, if you tested it during aussie summer obviously it gave you problems. Try also avoid spraying under your ears and front neck or chest. One or two sprays behind your neck will leave a trail when you walk but will not overcome your senses

I would also avoid spraying into the mouth, like I did like an Idiot while yawning and putting cologne on.

Yeah coming into winter it's more suitable.
Never spray there, just torso or top of back or arms.

The other recommendations here have been better such as Roberto Cavalli (night time), Mont blanc explore, Armaf club de unit sillage (not so much a fan but ok for $40).

Best chemist warehouse scents are the older Hugo/boss, Versace eau fraiche, Davidoff echo was great, few others.

Elixir is just a trendy name they use, no relation at all with oil concentration

        • You're right, it is EDP. Comment unpublished.

Yes it seems like 1-2 sprays is plenty with that crap.
It is parfum not EDT so makes sense.

        • Yep, comment unpublished. Pretty deceptive marketing.

  • wow. amazing price.

  • Damn no shipping to Perth

  • Goodness! Another one for some men who would enjoy it.

  • I got the scent elixir perfume this time.
