@MaxStinge: The fork is alloy but i think you can just buy chinese carbon forks for about $100 or so?
@meong: You’d be better off spending $400 on a carbon fork instead of $100 on a Chinese carbon fork and $300 on a full face helmet.
I considered grabbing one of these, but never thought to post it here. This is a really sharp price for an entry level gravel bike. Through axles and clearance for 45s so a good frame to grow with imho
Claris groupset. Not bad, but miss the pre covid day pricing.
yeah 2x8, but then it’s an entry level bike with cable discs for under $900.
Lower spec groupset is a good place to keep the cost low. Ie better to have a disc thru axle frame with entry level groupset, than an older QR frame with a higher spec groupset.
Groupset can always upgrade with pre-owned groupset or microshift etc.
In before price comparisons with Kmart razer scooter clones.
