Unfortunately I missed the boat purchasing a plex lifetime pass, as I was unaware of the changes at the time. $400 is a lot to stomach. I tried using a VPN, however it only lists it in USD, Euros or AUD, and I cant seem to find anywhere using their local currency at a reduced rate.
Do you guys know of any discount codes around that would make plex pass cheaper?

Just run Jellyfin, far better than PLEX unless you need the device support ;)
I would disagree with you but not when Plex is $400. That's outrageous.
I’ve never used Jellyfin, but if I didn’t have my Plex lifetime pass there’s no way I’d be paying $400 for it. I’d suffer through whatever downsides there are lol.
I have about 50 or so of my friends, family and colleagues that connect to my plex and use it remotely, via their TV's and work computers etc. I'm not particularly sure if jellyfin can work so easily remotely or if Id need to instruct that many people of what new application to download and what not. Its just easier to keep them on the same thing they've already been doing I guess?

Agree, I have been quite happy with Jellyfin, perhaps even happier than if I had Plex.
