whats the coupon code for the ebay deal ?
My experience owning the LG, it failed after 2 years, not easy to repair without it leaking. The side has a thin tank with intricate channels that gets clogged and can't be cleaned, only replaced. The whole thing holds together with the cover used to pressure fit the tank in, so it leaks as soon as opened and won't stop. It was fine for the first year, but is slower than others.
Get the Miele, they are made to be repairable. I've had no issues with ours and has a much faster cycle.
Thanks for this feedback. I had an LG leak and cause some pretty serious damage to my floor recently. Thought it was a once off and was going to get this but think I'll pass and go Miele or Bosch
Look at machines that have a solenoid right at the tap - that way the cut water (if a leak) at the tap not at the machine which is far better. I bought a Bosch that had this feature.
There must be different versions of this as mine had a split water supply hose that had a pinhole leak that would fill up the catch tray and trigger a fault. I had the case and tank off, fixed the hose cheaply then put it all back together and it hasnt had any further issues. The thing i dislike with this is the bottom drawer can come off its tracks and is a pain to push in sometimes.
I have this exact unit for 4 years do not a single problem, it never even clog once unlike my previous Bosch that clog every few months not to mention that Bosch stainless steel front panel rust.
The only problem with this machine the front panel feel cheap.
Ironically my LG washing machine leak after 1 year lucky it still under warranty period.
Every dishwasher has that type of matrix in the side panel.
I wouldn't buy a LG dishwasher. LG is very good for it's washing machine for cleaning clothes but not dishwasher.
I had an LG dishwasher lasted 10 years used daily then the control panel played up, could have fixed it but thought I may as well get a new one. The current LG is 3 years old, looks the same as this one, used daily and going strong no issues. If your machine is getting clogged maybe you need to give your plates a quick rinse to get excess food off before you put them in the dishwasher ? My only gripe is a quick wash with extra dry is 1hr40m, without the extra dry is about 59m, but stuff still a bit wet then.
I have an LG like this but without the cutlery drawer (it has a basket). Reasonably quiet, washes okay. The weak point with them is the NFC sensor for connecting it to your phone - they can make the controls go crazy after a few years. Take the control panel cover off, unplug it and it's good to go. There are videos on YouTube showing it.
I have LG True Steam Dishwasher XD4B24PS. Its been over a year and going good. I had read a previous comment from a fellow ozbargainger about not using the extra dry function everyday. I stopped using it since then and use finish aid to assist with drying. If there are lot of plastic utensils, I would open the door a bit to let the steam out after 30min of the cycle run
Looking at buying Bosch dishwasher series 8. Possibly accentline. What’s the best way to get a good bargain?
I’m already keeping an eye on AO prices then I’ll get TGG to match/beat and pay by gift cards. Any other options? Any input will be greatly appreciated.Ikea
"Quad wash"?
Does it need to wash things four times to achieve what other dishwashers do in one wash?Normal dishwashers do 3 cycles: pre-wash, main and rinse.
Like Gillette, or the amp in Spinal Tap, LG said "Lets go one more".
I've got the X3DA25 model. Average around 2-3 loads a day. In the second year, it stopped working due to a hose leak, replaced under warranty. In the 3rd year, I replaced the upper spray arm (~$40) because it had warped and couldn't rotate (this seems a product defect, common issue when googling).
They clean well, are quiet to operate, but clearly are not long lasting. I won't be buying another LG dishwasher. Our June Choice magazine arrived yesterday. Top 2 dishwasher brands for reliability were Bosch then Miele.
No way.. not an LG dishwasher
I would avoid LG dishwashers. I had one and in less than 2 years both racks started rusting. This is a common issue with all LG dishwashers.
We have the True Steam version but almost identical. Love the auto door opening function at the end of the cycle. Cleans exceptionally well given we don’t tend to pre-rinse. We did have a heater failure after one year (apparently a known fault that has now been re-engineered) and was replaced under warranty and has worked flawlessly since then.
Cheaper on there eBay store with coupon. Depending on where you live
