I own a previous 10kg Haier model and it only lasted 6.5 years. I had to replace the pulley/wheel and the belt. Then at 7.5 years, the motor is busted.
Is that praise or complaint ?
These are amongst the cheapest units on the market, 7.5 year life is pretty good. You could spend twice this price and still not get to 15 years.
Alot of the time it is carbon brushes that need to be replaced they are the way electricity is sent to the spinning motor, they wear down and cost like $12.

Buy a direct-drive brushless model to eliminate both of those issues.
for sure, but if you have a washing machine with a broken motor already look into buying some brushes instead of throwing it out.
For me it was bearings. It's hard to tell the difference between cheap bearings and good bearings, so manufactorers buy the cheap stuff. Then a year or two into service, the bearings start to wear. The machine becomes noisy and starts drawing more power. The extra power draw puts pressure on the circuit board components and things start to pop.
All to save $2 on a bearing
And to get you back sooner to buy a new one?
My f&p is going thru this now
6 years? Not long at all for a supposedly good brand
Just for myself the $699? Whirlpool… And f&p in the garage to be fixed when I have the time.
Try looking up repair sites on YouTube.
There’s some good one’s out of the the USA and they pretty much just recommend LG for a Front Loader as the one’s that they see the least of through their repair shops.
For the money for a 10kg, when on a good special you can’t go past them.
These guys have a crazy good phone service, if you call them up you can get cheaper prices or lock in a quote for 30 days if you want to think about it.
