This is my first post so might be a bit rough, but glad I'm giving back to this community.

Samsung Education Store (need an education email - use your child's @education.nsw.gov.au or similar) has Samsung Galaxy S25 256gb in silver shadow for 1063.24. Plus you get a free Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G 64Gb ($529 value) and free shipping and discounts on accessories whilst checking out.

Prices will vary between colors, the silver shadow was the cheapest.
I tried to get a Samsung discount code but it did not work on the Education site but works on main site - 15% discount on top of any other discounts. - just ask the chat for a no trade in code.

Here is goes:

Samsung Galaxy S25 256Gb silver = $1063.24
Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G 64gb = free ($529 value) - Ends Jun 11
Galaxy Rugged S25 case = 48.78
Welcome to Samsung! - 5% off offer
Total = $1112.02.
Shopback 10% offer = $100
Grand Total for all above = 1012.02.

I was going to buy that Pixel 9 pro deal from yesterdays JbHifi deal but found this better value.

Thanks for posting. What is the Shopback 10% offer?

    • Have been scouring the OzB posts for a shopback 10% offer. Haven't been able to find anything. Could anyone help please? Thanks in advance!

      • Shopback had 10% upsized promo yesterday but today it back to 5%.

        • Thanks for responding. Can I ask how you were able to click to the EDU store? I'm using the Shopback app and it puts me onto the main samsung site and there's no way for me to be able to enter a different url.

pay 1063 sell tablet get phone for 600 bucks nice.

      • +7

People would be mad to buy an A9+ for over $500. You might get $200 for it if you're lucky.

        • +1

never under estimate the people on ebay. Always works well :D

          • +2

@kungfuman: No one on eBay is paying $563 for this tablet. I'm happy for you to prove me wrong, but it isn't going to happen.

              • @kungfuman: Go your hardest mate.

                • +3

@wombat81: but you just said no one is paying that much i just showed you people are buying it for more than that on ebay.

                  • @kungfuman: I think what they meant is recent sales and not all time total. Of which only 3 sold above $500.

                  • +2

@kungfuman: Yeah mate, I'm with you. Go ahead and sell yours for $600. Let us know how it goes.

                  • @kungfuman:

                    22 sold for 629 brand new https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/375118583702?_skw=Galaxy+Tab+A9%…

Current list price has nothing to do with what it may have been listed at yesterday or last week etc. Ebay removed historical sales data maybe last year.

In addition & perhaps more importantly, you cannot see the Final Sale Price people are paying at the checkout after coupons etc

Eg. SAVB8 currently on the item is taking $50.24c off (8%) so it's already down to 577 without even trying

expired yesterday and 5% offer now.
      BUT education store is excluded.
Cashreward offer 1.3% rebate for education store.

      • Thanks so much. Appreciate you responding to my comment. Was going nuts trying to search for the Shopback $100 offer. Haha

  • Education store can only be accessed with student email ? Is there a way to get access with gmail, Sorry new to this.

    • You will require an email ending .edu.au.

Time to enrol in a TAFE basketweaving course

        • That genuinely sounds more useful than plethora of useless tafe and uni courses on offer these days

        • i lolled. so the .edu email address is kept accessible permanently after completion of the TAFE course?

          • @selphie: No, only for a few months after from memory.

            • @Borg: ouchie. any ideas on how to get a more permanent .edu email address?

              • @selphie: No, as they are for active students and teachers only…..or as below comment noted, alumni graduates may have longer term activation.

    • I've got an alumni email address from uni that ends in .edu.au that's always worked for me.

FYI - The Tab A9+ is now $279 on sale, so don’t take the discount of $529 at face value

    • 5G though?

    • +16

In addition, I have the A9+ it's a piece of junk.

I've got the 8gb/128gb wifi variety. It's always been slow out of the box and the screen is terrible to put it mildly.

I'm still using my 2019 S5E as it is better.

Lastly, Samsung won't even let me trade the A9+ back to them, but they'll take the S5E!

      What does that tell you?

  • How do we get Welcome to Samsung! - 5% off offer?

    • On the Samsung app

    • +1

When you order first time ,it will automatically applied.

  • Does anyone know if the 512gb similarly discounted and includes a free tablet? I don't have an edu email to check atm

    • +3

Yes, it includes the free tablet too
512GB at $1279.20 before the extra 5% off

      • +1

        Awesome, thanks!

  • Thanks OP , would kids highschool.edu email work ?anyone try this ?

  • +17

Hi Guys I seen this offer over a week ago and the tablet that is free is rubbish and Samsung can't sell
    Them so giving them away.
    So don't think it's a good offer.

I just had looked and lots of reviews on the tablet was negative.

      • +19

Most people who use Oz bargain are on a low income or looking for a bargain and if someone has already done some research could save a mum or dad from buying something to save money maybe for school for one of their kids.
I would like to know that information.
That was why I checked out the free tablet and it's rubbish. Maybe better to get a better deal from Samsung.
That was why I posted my opinion only to save someone from losing out.

Are you expecting a Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra or iPad Pro 12.9 thrown in for free?

      Think about it Shaun

      • +3

Of course not but it's nice to find out that the offer for the free tablet was getting 1 out of 5 ✨
stars for being very slow and the only reason people are getting it is because they can't sell them.

Think about jay nothing for nothing these days.

        It's still a fantastic phone.

        • -1

Fair enough. I guess for me, I look at the price of the Galaxy S25 in another retailer like JB Hi Fi right now and its $1387.

So with this deal, I can pay $322 less for the exact same phone and for my trouble, get a free tablet which has 5G connectivity also. Is it a top of the line tablet? Of course not. Would I use it in place of my iPad Pro 12.9 5G? No. However, is it a nice throw in on a phone already priced pretty damn well here? YES

For me, I'm grabbing it to use as my little one's tablet in the car with my data share sim in it. Perfect for me.

It all depends on use case mate

Correct me if i am wrong. Edu stores or other EPP stores and even through the samsung app are not eligible for cashback as far as i know for Shopback.

Edit: Found this on the terms and conditions for Shopback:
Cashback is not applicable for purchases made via the Samsung app.
Purchases made via Samsung's Education Store, Samsung's Business Store, Westpac Offers, or any Samsung Enhanced Partnership Portals are not eligible for Cashback

    • When I clicked through yesterday i read the terms but not find that it excluded education store and therefore took plenty of screenshots to suport the claim if needed.

      • Good luck! At least you're prepared!

I paid $500 for S24 on the Samsung website. I will wait for the same deal

    • Where is that deal

      • commonwealth rewards portal, spend over 500 and get a 100 discount.

  • Tablet promotion is also available via their partnership program.

    • Was just about to say this. Plus you can get plus and ultra versions too

      • but s25 is bit expensive on ANZ portal $1,119.20 :(

        • Use the 5% first order code

I bought 3 A9+ tablets for an overseas trip last year (long plane rides and long queues at theme parks). 1 of them was 5G.
The worse part about the tablet is the screen quality.
The screen is the MAIN factor of a tablet
Its washed out, not vibrant. 90hz help but doesn't make up for the TFT screen. Couldn't see anything in bright daylight.

Sold all 3 of them and bought 3 x Lenovo P11 2nd gen with the IPS Screen and 120hz.
    P11 120hz screen smashes the A9+.
Found out the P11 doesn't have GPS when Pokemon Go wouldn't install from playstore - I could sideload it but had to do the same everytime the app updated (often).
Sold the P11s for Alldocube iPlay60Pros. Pokemon Go works fine - also has 4G.
    But the iPlay60Pro doesn't have vibrate… can't win.

    • Samsung S9 FE or S10 FE

      • I was looking to upgrade the A9+ to S9FE - but the price was almost double at the time.

        S9FE vs S10FE - same screen
S10FE better CPU and extra 2GB ram for base - https://nanoreview.net/en/soc-compare/samsung-exynos-1580-vs…
Compare specs of A9+ vs S9FE vs S10FE
        https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?&idPhone1=12617&idPhon…

        Plenty of youtube videos comparing.
        https://youtu.be/wM39R9L_B60?si=q3xhf-jJ2akKXVO8

S10FE pricing is all over the place at the moment.
Clear often posts the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 12.7" for much better price - read his posts very carefully for Rom differences.

My budget is $250 - all I and kids do is Youtube, Plex and basic games.
        Requirements:
Min CPU high C rating on nanoreview
Min IPS sceen with min 90hz refresh.
        Min 6GB ram
Must have microSD expansion as I have 400GB microSD cards

        • A lot of the random Chinese tablets are missing important specs like GPS. They'll often put a beefy CPU in them but not much else, so be careful. The Xiaoxin you mentioned has no GPS.

I think you'll struggle to get the specs you want for $250. Wait for a deal on a S9FE or S10FE.

        • +2

I got my S10FE 128/8gb for $280 a couple weeks ago. Not sure the same offers are available now though.

S25 also first to supports satellite sms on Telstra - https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-06-03/telstra-launches-aust…

Get a Vivo x200 Pro mini instead for same price. Blows the s25 out of the water especially in camera and battery

    • +1

While I agree with this, a Vivo would need to be grey imported while this is official Australian stock. If you run into software issues you are basically SOL with the Vivo.

      • -1

Agree on those points but the chance of software issues I think is pretty low. I've never needed to bring a phone back to a store due to software issues. Actually I don't think I've ever had to return a phone due to faulty manufacturing or software in the ever. I've owned many Samsung phones as well. Made the switch to Vivo in December and have not had any issues.

        • +1

I meant other software features such as Android Auto or Google Wallet and the like.

There are so many questions on Whirlpool and Reddit regarding whether AA certain or banking apps work, etc…

Most likely you will be fine but there's always a chance something might break (might not even be due to the phone, the bank might've updated their app and borked something but it may only affect Xiaomi or Vivos).

To each's own, but if I'm spending $1k+ for a phone I'd rather not have to worry about dealing with the possibility.

I will leave this here since I dont know if its worthy of a post. I've been looking for a tab s10 ultra 256g since the sales around march finished and I missed out(about 850-900 for tablet and free keyboard cover).
Ordered the tab 10 ultra 256, free keyboard cover and free tab s9 ultra(dont know what size) $923. Used trade bonus, $100 loyalty coupon and $50 coupon that was emailed to me.

    • Correct me if I'm wrong, you got an S9 Ultra for free by buying the S10 Ultra tab? What's the education price for the S10 Ultra? Asking bc I don't have access to it. Thanks!

    • "And Free tab s9 ultra bonus" Is this a typo?

I bought the s10 plus 256gb a few days back on pre order for about $750. With same coupon values, your deal, seems incredible. Tempted to cancel and re-order this!

    • -1

Sorry guys, I read this post and decided to check the s10 ultra and was excited to see it was back on sale to around the same price as the start of the year and made a quick order so I could get to dinner. Thought I read it came with a tablet which i assumed it was the same as this post but when I look at my email confirmation its worded "Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra Book Cover Keyboard Slim — AI Key" now a clever man would assume it means the keyboard is a tab s9 ultra/s10 ultra compatible keyboard. That is why I dont make ozb posts/topics, the pitchfork collection would be hellish hah. Anyway $923 for the s10 ultra is a decent deal if your looking for one.

  • Hi everyone, could not login to reply as at work but as expected, the comments fired up.

    1) Shopback site had an upsized 10% promo yesterday but now back to 5%. I read the fine print and screenshot every step as it did not explicitly say no education store and it tracked. So hopefully it comes through or im taking on Shopback.

    2) The A9+ tablet is not flagship specs but for Reading Eggs its perfect.

To me, its was Pixel 9 pro for ~1100+ or this with a tablet. Was hard to pass up.

Hopefully some people got use out of it.

  • This deal is also available on the Samsung goverment website

  • Even without the tablet this deal is better than the Telstra cashback that I got on the s25.

  • Samsung is giving away these 64g A9+, but they only have 4gb ram. The 128g version has 8gb ram. If they give the 128verion, it will be a good deal.
