Nice price! Waiting for 8TB deal

    • Likewise but being their largest lower rpm (quieter) drive it's very popular and rarely on special.

Great deal but just be aware that this is their loudest Red Plus drive.

Dam! That sucks. I wanted a louder one that sounds like it's taking off into space.

    • +1

Loudest and much hotter for me. Like currently 6C hotter than all my other drives.

As stated above, 10tb is not that well rated/reviewed.

This is about $30per tb. Aim around $25per tb for an actual deal.

    • +2

WD Red Plus are some of the best non-enterprise NAS drives you can get. How often are they available at $25/TB?

    • Why?

      • Why what?

        • Why is the 10tb not well reviewed.

  • -5

The price is showing $357.56 including import fees.

      $308.74 for me

      • +2

        $308.74 for me as well

    • +2

Import tax applies when the value exceeds a certain threshold. I removed other things in my cart and it's showing the post's price now. I would assume each item or seller is grouped to calculate individual valuation but I guess not?

If I bought the $347 one, will they refund me the difference? It's still in shipping

    • +1

You can try but probably easier to repurchase and return.

    • You can always ask on the Amazon chat, depends on the seller and shipping status.

  • I just bought 2x Seagate Ironwolf Pros 18TB (Mirror) for $560 each from Centrecom ($1120 total after rebate)

I think 3 of these in RAIDZ1 would also be a good setup and easier to expand or recover from a drive failure

Only issue I can see with this deal is Import from USA and only 3 year warranty

  • Not compatible with my Synology drive
