Looking for route suggestions for 2 x rewards business class seats from NYC - Brisbane using QFF points, and how early in advance to look, for travel in early November 2026 Open to interesting routes and best bang for rewards buck. All suggestions appreciated :)

Try NYC to HK then to BNE via Cathay.
Otherwise would have suggested NY to SNG with Singapore then to BNE (flight leaves Singapore at 2300 ish) but that's a Velocity partner/KrisFlyer
If no CX (which is possible), FJ will likely have J awards from DFW to BNE via NAN, while AA will likely fly NYC to DFW (you can get an economy award for this part).
QF itself will be pretty much impossible unless you have status.
I would check JFK-HND or JFK-HEL if you want direct flights. Otherwise take a domestic flight to the west coast and get a flight from there. Last minute flights often pop up on QF or AA in business.
It's a public holiday this Monday and I just cottoned on. Let alone have anything planned for long weekend.
I'm amazed when people are planning trips 18 months away!
Maybe a stoppover at Disneyland, or Fiji, whichever takes your fancy.
