    I have this watch,

Great watch, just a shame Garmin has stopped supporting it with new software features only coming to Fenix 8.

Good price but this watch was released in January 2022.
Garmin have stopped doing feature updates, they should have discontinued it sooner. Who can figure out Garmin’s strategy? There’s so many different models. I was hoping there would be a deal on the Fenix 8 by now - they’ve been running a promotion on it in the US. I considered buying the Fenix 8 from Amazon US, but the lack of Australian consumer law protection put me off.
My Fenix 5 plus will have to last me a while longer.

Waiting for my Fenix 5 plus sapphire to die before upgrading but it seems to be bulletproof.

Kind of envious of some of the newer features (pulse Ox and torch) but I have to remind myself I hardly use any of the features of my current watch.

Lol 2 comments going on about missing out on feature updates.

Great watch. I have it and I bought it for the features it has.

Sapphire means no scratches on the display after a lot of hard use (digging around the house, scratching against bricks etc)

Solar doesn't add real use battery and is more of a gimmick.

Fantastic watch, love it. Echo the other comments around disappointment on missing features but note Garmin is also trying build a paywall by putting some functions behind a paid membership - just something for us all to keep in mind.

Neg-ing as I don't think this is that good a deal for a product that is over 3 years old now. (Edit: maybe this is too harsh, last time out there weren't many sellers / good deals)

I bought this watch for $725 last year. 1x available at the same link today for $754.92

    • JUst saw it then it says it is used could you notice anything with the watch that you got because its quite tempting in that price

Ah - I did not see that.

        I bought mine new.

  • Great watch. I think the extra $100 is well spent getting the Pro over this model though.

Should be cheaper now considering Garmin have made it clear they will no longer be adding features to the 7/pro and Epix/pro.
If you were to buy one then get the Pro as it has the flashlight.
Also suggest keeping an eye out for the Epix Pro as it's been this price as well.

The flashlight is my favourite feature on the watch, it's a game changer having a torch always available and i use it daily.
