      • Strange, I literally just bought it for $86

Bought this one as I've always wanted to try Motorsport also.

Honestly thought this one was underwhelming compared to FH4. Multiplayer not working on launch was a huge bummer too.

    • I also found it pretty lacklustre, no real innovation. The whole interface felt very mobile-game also

      • Yeah that's it. It felt like a FH4 expansion pack with a less inspiring world and worse performance.

Btw who is the salty guy downvoting all of this? Lmfao

    • Having been a Gran Turismo fan my entire life (1-7 including prologue and psp), would I still enjoy this though? It'd all be 'new' to me so I wouldn't have a forza comparison bias I spose.

As I understand forza motorsport is the more sim like and this is more… Somewhere between gran turismo and need for speed? Is that an accurate statement?

This is very arcade compared to the other titles you mentioned but it is also open world so a lot of the fun comes from roaming around and finding things.

I mean I enjoyed NFS Heat and grew up with ye old NFS underground..

Might wait for a sale on ps5. Probs more enjoyable on the couch heh.

@ReaperX22: While FH5 is arcadey compared to Gran Turismo and Motorsport, but it's not in the same realm as NFS.

If you leave most of the assists off, it plays like a "sim-light". Tuning has a fair bit of depth and has a enormous impact on how each car drives.

IMO it's a really nice middle ground. Keep in mind the monthly seasons are over and they're now doing re-runs, but it does mean there is stacks to do.

Monetisation is honestly pretty fair. There are only a tiny number of cars in "car packs", you can't buy in-game currency, the DLC is significant for the price. Horizon "Wheelspin" looks like gatcha, but only works off Wheelspin tickets that you only get from just playing the game. It's generally not hard to get a meta car and if you're only playing single-player stuff, just pick something you like and tune it to your preferences.

@Erwark: Yeah I'd just be playing single player stuff. Sounds right up my alley to be honest! Thanks!

I think so. It's still a fine game to cruise around in and have fun, probably closer to Burnout Paradise if you ever played that.

Unfortunately paid $99 when it came to PS5 and thought it sucked.. lame n boring

    • so what racing game in the same genre do you play instead that isn't boring? the crew?

      • -2

GT7 for example is real racing, this is arcade junk

        • so you don't like arcade racers, and bought an arcade racer, then complained. So by your logic, to everyone who likes arcade racing, but doesn't like standard track racing games, GT7 is junk, lame, and boring…..
Sounds like a you problem for blindly buying something without looking into it first. If you want REAL racing, may I suggest the Assetto Corsa games and iRacing. or if you have an XBOX or decent Gaming PC, and want something a little less intense, FORZA MOTORSPORT (not Horizon).
