For a second I thought this was Casino Royale merch

So outside of France, would this be called Casio Quarter Pounder World Time?

    • -1

Only in the US. Most places outside France except for US uses metric

      Without cheese.

    Casio what? come again

I love seeing some of the modifications people do to this model, like the Nuclear Royale or changing each segment to a different colour

  • I have my doubts about the authenticity of goods sold from this seller. I bought their sub-$30 classic watch (search for the Casio Men's Black Resin) and it came in a literal plastic bag, and the three manuals wrapped in a bubble wrap package.

Last year I bought the Casio calcualor watch (sold by Amazon) and it came in the proper, hard and transparent plastic packaging that you'd expect in a retail store.

    • Do you mean like this guy talks about?
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3Lx5x20P8g&t=269s

    • They seem legit. Arrived in the boxes and the seem like they are Singapore stock at least 1 was.

    • Probably bulk stock sold to sellers like this, retail boxes take more room and postage. There are plenty of ways to check if legit (google the model etc). Still better to get from sold and shipped from Amazon if possible and similar money

  • Do you have a AE1200 WN, I think it would look good on you.

It says expired but $54 is still alright.
They most often $60, wouldn't pay more than $50-55 really.

Ive returned most variants, couldn't get the last two end end links off these, resin is usually better unless you got over 7" wrists.

    • No I don't, I prefer my cheap G-Shock Classic which I bought for $55 delivered. Here is a pic of it on my wrist.

I'm going to buy a Skmei 1628 on the Aliexpress bundles page when it drops under US$3 again, handy as a beater when bike riding.

Wow that was a while ago Mr Rock.. I paid $66 for for DW9052. Not sure why I got it when I got the DW6900 which is more Iconic (but costed more). It's a true beater though and not really worth selling (but could give away one day).

The good thing about hese type of watches are that cheap that the normal working man can own a few :P
They are also pretty different. The italics (time) is actually bigger on the world time, and a smaller watch.

        • +1

Put it on Gumtree for $66 and it will 💯% sell eventually.

      • +2

        how unreal is the 1628.

        • It's up there with similar Casio resin watches. Maybe not as accurate but it takes less than 30 seconds to adjust it.

  • -3

I can't get behind this watch. Most of the face is covered by 'design' elements that have no practical use.

    • At least you won't forget how long the battery lasts

    • 👎😂 You mean the spec sheet text on the front of the dial?
No different to most Casios and G-Shocks.

You can carefully erase them if you're keen on modding, big scene for aftermarket cases and parts too.

    • Agreed, the dial is so busy with so much stuff written on it why can't they be just minimalistic.. It would sell a whole lot more.

      • Plenty of other plain watches around or mod it.

    very nice watch, thanks op
