nice. eb games price matches HN right?

    • -5

      Nope.

        • +1

That's for stuff you're trading in

        • I've been flat out told multiple times at EB that they specifically do not price match with Harvey Norman.

You may fair better. Never hurts to ask, just don't expect them to say yes.

          • @Selenium: I didn't know this. EB price matches a lot of places when I ask so I'm surprised they don't do HN given it's same centre (in Broadway).

I think you can try matching JB HI-FI or try officeworks and they might be able to beat it by another 5%

    • Maybe the odd prick doesn't, but in my experience they do, no trouble

Did you read the post ? there are mutiple games not just one , it may not be your cup of tea ,but people like me who has just bought Nintendo recently are always hunting for good deals/games , cheers

      • -7

I did, they also aren't good deals.

I'll just get into my Delorean.

  • Mario vs Donkey Kong is rubbish.

It's a low-grade-puzzle low-grade-platformer that never gets challenging at either. For young kids it's fine. Depending on the kid, I'd say anyone over 10-12 just forget it.

    • Should be $49RRP, $34 on sale

    • +1

I quite liked the game, I also sold it on after completing for $5 less than what I paid after I got 100% so definitely got my value

      • I returned it under eb 1 week policy and I still thought it was a disappointment lol

I rarely use their policy. In the last 5 years only for Mario vs DK and Princess Peach Showtime

Is this the best Zelda game to get? Bit lost, never had Nintendo (not since wii)

    • +2

Yes, take this and Breath of the wild

      • Interesting. Didn't think much of BotW.

It's crazy this doesn't come with a free Switch 2 upgrade

    • They want you to buy another "remake" later… so likely not free upgrade.

      • +3

Not a remake, there's Switch 2 upgrade packs for $20 already on sale, or free with Online Expansion Pack.

        • If you have finish it on original Switch… don't think it will worth upgrade, but sucks on paying extra just to get "upgrade" of the same game in Switch 2.

  • +1

Finished this one on steam deck with yuzu emulation which was sometime hit and miss in terms of performance. Can’t wait to enjoy it again on my OLED TV with great framerates.

One of the best games ever in my view. Wouldn’t go back to BOTW though after getting so used to the nice upgrades in TOTK.

And ideal money spend for everyone who got 10% gift card with their switch 2 purchase…

  • I've never really gotten into Zelda games but everyone talked up BOTW. If I didn't play BOTW (or much of the canon), is TOTK a good one to start on? At $69 + $20 it seems like a bargain.

    • +1

It's not essential to have played the first one - ToTK is like BOTW+; the same sort of game with more things to do. But you can't go wrong with either one really.
